Well...he can control hurricanes...so why is it so hard to believe he can control gas prices?

Don't you know?
Bush, Rove, and Rumsfeld have a high powered Nofflestrontificator that they use to disgrontificate the minds of OPEC to bend to their every whim while singing Numa Numa.
They have Parindled the oil cartels, malum zambonifactum most fowl.

$80 a barrel in July to less than $60 a barrel now, causing retail gas prices to fall from $3 per gallon in early August to $2 per gallon now in many parts of the country. Crude prices drop 25% (80-->60), but retail drops 33% (3-->2) ?
Clearly, Rove is at work, as well!

Exactly what are these magnificent changes that have taken place to bring down the price of oil? OPEC is cutting production, Alaska is having problems, and world peace hasn't become a reality. So what is it, magic?

First noticed CNN's Bill Schneider touting this possibility.
The sheeple ran with it...to CSPIN call in line, to various talk shows, and the LIE was around the world.

They should have to explain why gasoline was at a near record high during the 2004 elections; with his presidency on the line, if he could have lowered prices he ought to have done so then. In fact, he refused to release oil from the strategic reserve and was criticized by the Dems for not acting to lower prices.
For those with slightly longer memories, Clinton did exactly that during the 2000 election, releasing oil from the strategic reserve to lower gasoline prices during the the run-up to the election, a transparent move to aid Gore.
So the history is that a Dem will manipulate the price of oil for political gain, and Bush won't, not even to save himself. Thats the history.

The left's assumption is that the American public is too stupid to see through their lies.
That certainly applies to the democratic electorate.

Bush must be a lot smarter than Carter, back then I was waiting in a line almost a mile long to get gas. I wasted more driving to the pump than I purchased.

Have you no mercy for the speculators buying November crude in August? How mean-spirited can you get!
To: MooseMan
To hear Bush critics tell it, president can manipulate gas pricesHe also has Rove keeping the hurricanes away. Karl Rove, the hardest working man in show business!

What I don't understand is how the Left can tell us that Bush is too dumb to tie his own shoes and yet he can also manipulate the price of oil, change the weather and essentially control the world. How is this possible?
