The FReeper Canteen is asking all FReepers to please keep 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub in your prayers.

He has suffered a massive stroke and heart attack.

We know that many of you will have questions, but as of right now we don't have any further information.

Lord, may these doctors be special: May they actually listen to and heed the words of their patient when he says, "Too much medication." May YOU, Lord, ensure that the meds chosen, and the dosage of each, is what it should be! Even too much honey is not good, says Your Word! Lord, grant the doctors to know that You, too, have a hand in this healing, and let them rely less on the meds and more on You and on their patient's body's given ability to recover from this set-back. Lord, please grant these doctors not to be proud, but to humbly be willing to try less meds and less of their own intervention. May our Tonk actually have a doctor that is willing and able to pray over him. Please keep the family members vigilant in their oversight of all of Tonkin's care.

Lord, I prayed so much for the blood to FLOW, and indeed Thou hast answered! Father, it now needs to stop flowing where it ought not be flowing! Since the doctors confess that in Tonk's current state they can do nothing to even diagnose this "bleed" and since it was You that got his blood - so full of life! - flowing for him in answer to our prayers, oh Father, keep the blood in the vessels and arteries, to his lungs and brain and arms and legs and vital organs only, and let the life (in the blood) not flow out but remain his. Amen.

May the good Lord be with Tonk as he fights this fight..I give thanks for those who are with Tonk. Lord, strengthen, heal and comfort Tonk. Give strength and comfort to his family. Guide his medical team so they may be able to give him exactly what is needed. Heal him,O Lord, I pray.

Apologies to anyone that was offended by being pinged to Zacs Mom, kattracks, JulieRNR21's husband's prayer threads. We thought that perhaps with the outpouring of support, prayers, and concern for Mr. Tonkin that it could be sent their way as well.

I'ts a bit unnerving to see all of the Freepers who have suddenly developed health problems.

So todady I pray for all Freepers- May the Lord give strergth, good health and peace of mind to my FRiends here. And may He bless us with His mercy. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
