Columbus, Ohio -- A woman who gained national notoriety for writing a book about being raped, then abandoning her newborn in a college trash been has been sentenced to prison for being the rapist in the case.
Twyana Davis, 30, claimed in 1995 that she had been raped, appeared on television shows to tell her story.
She also formed a nonprofit group aimed to prevent teen pregnancies and provide alternatives for young mothers who didn't want to keep their babies.
But she also was harboring a secret: She wasn't raped. She was the rapist, Franklin County prosecutors said.
Davis was sentenced Tuesday in Common Pleas Court to 10 to 25 years in prison on a charge of rape. She had confessed to having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old cousin, leading to her unwanted pregnancy.
Judge Michael J. Holbrook labeled her a sexual predator and also fined her $10,000. Davis successfully manipulated the system to her advantage after the crime, Holbrook said.

Hope she spends a whole lotta time behind bars. She's a predator and needs to pay for her crime. Now if Clintoon could only be sent behind bars.

A "trash been"? Does the AP hire high-school graduates? Do they have editors?...It is the AP, after all. :^/
Actually, Ap hires journalists, English majors, perhaps even a "creative writing" major or three. All are just using words as they want to in this post-structuralist world.

Can you imagine what a family reunion they can have?

Lou Dobbs in the same breath as the others? You can't be serious. I smell an open borders smear.

I believe so - in just about any state. The point being that the baby, no matter what the circumstances of the conception, does have a father. There was a case some years ago where an underage boy was given oral sex by a woman using a condom who subsequently used the contents to get herself pregnant. Even in that case, the boy was listed as the father with all the responsiblities that entails.
It's a tought situation - one way or the other, someone gets screwed. Legally, I believe they decided that it was more important that a baby whose father whose paternity was known be responsible for that child, than try to adjudicate the extremely rare cases where the father is completely not responsible for impregnating the mother. Rare cases make bad law and all that...
It also seems to me that if the boys are responsible for child support, wouldn't they be able to file a civil suit against the mother for putting them in that position? Haven't heard of this happening, but it makes sense to me given the current state of the law...

I bet Oprah didn't do a follow-up exposé on this murdering, rapist whore as to what really happened. This ought to be rammed down her throat.

As the article says, she was sentenced for rape. OH has a 20-year statute of limitations. I just looked it up.
You don't get a sentence anywhere near that length for filing a false report. That's usually handled as a misdemeanor in most jurisdictions.
