THE heckler at Barbra Streisand's MSG concert Monday night may have been a right-wing plant who's taunted her before, her publicist says. "There's something a little weird about it," said Ken Sunshine, noting there was a similar-sounding shouter at the diva's Philadelphia show last week.
At the Garden, the heckler taunted, "What is this, a fund-raiser?" when she made fun of President Bush. Meanwhile, Audience Extras, a firm that provides members with free tickets to undersold shows, was giving out ducats to Babs' show tonight. "They did a last-minute release of some scattered seats in the upper levels," said tour publicist Fran Curtis.

No no no. She's the "focus of a vast right wing cconspiracy".
Guess they didn't have enough members to bail out the Dixie Chicks.

Don't question the Great and Powerful Flabs Streisand. Pay no attention to Howard Dean behind the curtain.
'I'M SURE President Bush is a very nice guy, but some people voted for him because they thought he was a person they could have a beer with. What is that about?! Do you want to have a beer with the doctor who's going to operate on you, or do you want him to be the top of his class . . . be a bit in awe of him?"
So says Barbra Streisand in the new issue of O
Oooo, now I have a image of having a beer with Babs.
I read that Babs told the heckler to 'shut the f--k up' and asked him if he wanted his money back. He could have responded with, 'Money? What money? Are you saying that some of these people actually paid to see this piece of crap?"
We should not roll over and be polite when the Donks are obnoxious. We should give back as good as we get. Otherwise it is a one-way ratchet, where they can criticise us with impunity and never pay a price.
Babs has only herself to blame. If she is going to parody the President on stage, I would hope that the entire audience would turn their backs as a group. However, since we are talking about Streisand fans, who by and large seem to have a preference for that sort of thing, that's not going to happen. If conservative activists have to pay somebody to be there and listen to that dreck in order to make sure our voices can be heard, so be it.
Drop the skit, and the "stalker" goes away.
From what I read there was more than one person "heckling" her over her juvenile political remarks. Shut up and sing you old hag.
Is the Seinfeld character Lloyd Braum based on this guy?
(If that sounds like a right-wing conspiracy - it is.)
Cue up George from Seinfeld:
"That's quite the pile of hair you've got there, Sunshine! The gray's kinda got that "distinguished" thing going on, you know what I mean, huh? But, "Sunshine?" C'mon! What, your mother and father not good enough for you or something? Fancy-schmancy, that's what you are. Fancy-schmancy!"
Her fall? That's nothing compared to her breast sag! Brolin must retch or turn the lights off!
A stalker could just follow her nose.
Audience Extras! That's pretty low; but then again I remember empty seats at the 2000 "Timeless" show in NYC. Interestingly, AE demands that members not reveal who they are once they get to the theatre - the producers say it impacts their box office.
Hey, Babs, why don't you check your hero, Jean Cherie's, grades. Bush got higher grades than he did. How about your other hero, Algore? He failed out of divinity school and dropped out of law school.
Audience Extras isn't free. You pay a membership fee then get discounted tickets.
cause, you know, and I mean this sincerely, she hasn't aged gracefully, and sort of puts the fear of God in me about getting older.
LOL!
True, very true
