I saw it when the link was referenced in a different article. My first reaction was "Damn, this is never going to be used as an ad on TV" - that was while I was laughing and forming a list of folks to whom I would send the link via e-mail.

I agree. Ridicule (especially in the form of satire) is very, VERY effective.

Ronald Reagan used it all the time (with the Soviet Union, Cuba, Eastern Europe, Central America).

Satiric humor is very, VERY appropriate--especially when the underlying point is TRUE!

The 'point' of this video is 'right on the mark'. If the Republicans won't use it--they deserve to take a big hit in the upcoming elections. Their 'lack of backbone' has already turned off enough Republicans.

"Damn, this is never going to be used as an ad on TV"

Which is unfortunate because it's a great ad.

Restraint is the sole province of the Republicans. In the land of Retraint, there are Dimocratz, maybe a Lieberman or two but no Klintoons, no Gores, no Kerrys, etc.

I imagine that it is spreading across the internet. In a few days it may get mention or play on Fox News.

This video earlier today, on YouTube, had 10 'honors', including most viewed, most discussed, etc. It also showed up near the top in all of these catagories. Then, about 4:00pm CDT all of that was erased. Hmmmmmm, censorship it is then.

I agree. It IS a great ad.

As as political satire goes, it's PERFECT.

First, it must be accurate. THIS IS. Second, it should use humor. This does. Third, it should be something that gets your attention and that you will remember. BINGO. It does all three--just like ANY effective commercial ad should!

On top of that, it is MUCH MORE accurate than most of the biting and insulting (and inaccurate) political ads that the democrats are SPEWING.

The Republicans need to get a 'pair'--and USE IT.

"One GOP strategist said "jaws dropped" when the ad was first viewed. "Nobody could believe Zucker thought any political organization could use this ad. It makes a point, but it's way over the top."

IOW, "we WANT to get our guts kicked out, and at least we will remain dignified."

I'd rather be a mean winner than a dignified loser anyday.
