I still don't know what the "sexual misconduct" was. All I've heard about is homosexual relations between consenting adults. Not only is this not illegal it is highly approved of by Democrats and, apparently, many Republicans.

The FBI counters that CREW provided only edited versions of the e-mails, and refused to surrender the unedited originals.

O-tay, but shouldn't that have been enough to allow them to subpoena the originals?

I doubt they had evidence of any crime.

But the full records weren't any more telling of a "crime." This discussion is conflating what is illegal and what is unethical.

Foley did the right thing by resigning.

Illegal? I have yet to see evidence of that yet.

So when does this become illegal rather than simply creepy politics. If CREW did not lie to FBI, if there was no statutory crime committed by Foley, and if CREW was not subject to any court order to reveal what it knew, how can it have committed any crime itself?
