Today was a very serious day. As Ohio said, GWB has a mess because of his predecessor. On a lighter note, I saw GWB live this morning on tv while I was exercising at the gym. I thought his suit looked too big for him. I wondered if he had body armor on or something, but that didn't make a lot of sense. I think this picture shows it a bit. Just didn't look like it fit quite right.

This picture--and the others in this series, just about make me cry. We need to pray for them for wisdom--what a mess this is!

You know, if we still named our kids the old way, my son's son's last name would be the same as Leif's.
(I knew you wanted to know that. :)

Some of my friends my age could no longer get employment in the nineties because they got left behind. I went back to school in 1966 just when it was beginning and it turned out to be a wise move.

We had to do that too when we had DSL, now we have a dish. I don't think the dish is any faster than DSL, but hubby thinks so.

Congratulations! We just didn't get mail. :)
I remember when every school (at least in our area) got Columbus Day off.
Guess we're too PC to do that any more.......with all that disease and destruction that Columbus brought to 'paradise' and all that stuff.....

Hope this post doesn't wake you up. I'm typing very, very quietly. Rest your eyes.
I had a look at the geek thread. I'm on the Mac ping list, and I read a LOT of geek stuff. They're scary, aren't they? LOL

Yeah, it was a really good day :) I was very excited to have time to do something outside of work/school. My ankle is resting now so I think it'll be okay.
I'm glad you had a good time :)

Federal employees still get Columbus Day off. And so does the slave labor also known as interns :)

interesting perspective on the Reagan years. I knew he was hated by the media but not to that extent. I think it was softened (a tiny bit) by his enormous personal charm, but they still considered him a B actor and a buffoon.
What is it with these people? They worship evil and despise good.

Yes. Federal employees, including postal carriers. Also banks are closed, so SOME people honor Columbus.
I'm glad you're numbered among them, ilovew. :)
