Buddhist nun.
Why is Chinese occupation of Tibet so gentle and beneficial and Israeli "occupation" of Palestinians so brutal and oppressive?
Oh, because Tibetan Buddhists aren't blowing themselves up on buses and in pizza parlors.

Wouldn't it be a dream come true to see the nasty Chicoms and islamonazis mix it up? Put it on pay-per-view. Blockbuster. Yellow peril vs the sand fleas. Whoo!

You're one of the smarter people on FR, so I trust your description of China's imperialist, genocidal campaign against Tibet was sarcasm.

They should have been stopped when they invaded Tibet decades ago.

I trust your description of China's imperialist, genocidal campaign against Tibet was sarcasm. Maybe I should go over to DU and ask that question. And they would take the time to carefully explain to me why the Chinese occupation of Tibet is more gentle and beneficial than the Israeli occupation of the Palestinians.
Or probably they would just call me a f***ing nazi Zionist.

I know. It's one of the most under-reported crimes-against-humanity in history. Makes my blood boil and makes me want to bitch-slap every chi-comm apologist silly.

I don't get to Wal-Mart too often because they are not near me. However, almost everything I buy at Wal-Mart is made in USA. Mobil-1, Remington ammo, batteries, food. I did buy some candied ginger from the Phillipines recently, 1/10th cost of a tourist store near my home. The bananas are also imported and are not picked by illegal immigrants in the US as reported by Geraldo whats his name.
The Chinese people are wonderful. I hope and pray some day their government joins civilized society.
To: Alouette
Where are all the Wal-Mart lovers? Don't get too smug. Next article of clothing, pair of shoes, sporting goods, electronics or hardware, ..., you try to buy, check the tag showing the country of manufacture. It's hard to avoid Chinese products.
To: nonsporting
It's hard, but I try like hell to buy goods made in free countries. I do occasianally shop at WallyWorld, but I'm not some W-M cheerleader having orgasms over how Sam Walton belongs on Mt. Rushmore.
BTW, the last two items I bought at W-M (a Shop-Vac and a battery for my boat) were made in the USA.

AND, a lot of "American Made" goods are produced in the Marianas Islands, by Chinese "guest workers" (i.e., slaves).
All support for China does is oppress Tibet, take American jobs and create more Mexican and Latin American illegal aliens, who could -- as our neighbors and NAFTA/CAFTA partners, manufacture the cheap stuff we buy in their own countries competitively if it wasn't for China's "most favored nation" status.
