TAMPA, FL- Congresswoman Katherine Harris, the Republican candidate for the United States Senate, soundly defeated Bill Nelson this evening by a 54% to 45% margin in the straw poll conducted at the Lakeland Bi-Annual Politics in the Park. The Harris campaign continues to build momentum, engendering tremendous grassroots support throughout the state with a pro-growth, pro-family message that resonates across the political spectrum.
Congresswoman Harris commented, I appreciate the strong support of a majority of voters who are disillusioned with Bill Nelsons lack of leadership and his record of voting against Floridas best interests. I will fight for Florida in the United States Senate.
The Lakeland Bi-Annual Politics in the Park straw poll illustrates the widespread support that exists for Harris consistent message of cutting taxes, eliminating wasteful spending, protecting the institution of marriage and opposing amnesty for illegal citizens. Congresswoman Katherine Harris is the only candidate with a demonstrated record of leadership who will fight for Floridas values in the U.S. Senate.
Katherine Harris, the Republican Candidate for the United States Senate, currently serves as the Representative for Floridas 13th Congressional District. After receiving a Masters in Public Policy from Harvards Kennedy School of Government, she continued a distinguished career in public service to her native state that began in the State Senate and as Floridas last elected Secretary of State. She resides in Longboat Key with her husband Anders Ebbeson and his 24-year-old daughter, Louise along with the constituents of District thirteen.
So you are saying it is MORE scientific than the Treason Media polls?
From your lips to God's ears. Never give up and fight to elect true conservatives everywhere. Katherine Harris is a fighter and worthy to be fought for by the GOP. Screw any GOP leadership who wont support her over this empty suit Dem Nelson.
They hold a similar event in Orlando (should be soon) that really does bring in 'all kinds'...LOL It may be right leaning because it's pulling from the business community and also because Lakeland is rather rural but its probably a fair sampling.
Not to mention the fact that she likely brought a lot of her supporters (such as they are) to the picnic specifically to vote in the poll.
Pardon me while I go and brush my unicorn.
If your a female-under 50 and in great shape, I'll be there with bells on, if I can force myself to leave the Mons.
Go Katherine
truth,
I'm of the same exact mindset. All this noise is distracting but it absolutely does not reflect reality. The GOP will not lose either house. My church has a huge GOTV program and have a registration desk set up in the lobby and it's been there for months. About 8000 people a week go thru there.
And in case anyone questions my position as a seer, a visionary, I called in APRIL that no hurricanes would hit Florida in 06! LOL
Wow, I knew I was a votin for her, but that is one nice looking Senator
Yikes!
If Harris wins, I'll gladly take a swim in the La Brea tar pits.
What do you look like? Tampa in November may be worth the trip.
...right. ;^)
A straw poll? A poll of those attending an event?
At $25 a vote that is an interesting outcome.......
If the result is only this amount the other way 'round, Harris will be lucky
In that pic, doesn't she look like Sue Ellen in the old Dallas series?
A pretty woman.
"I love how everybody is counting her out but I think the MSM and everybody will be in for a bit of a shock on election night."
Yes, have you noticed the information ops going on in the media, endlessly predicting how Harris is going to fail?
