Reid: Investigate Bush Over North Korea Nukes
CNSNews ^ | October 09, 2006 | Nathan Burchfiel

Posted on 10/09/2006 12:53:50 PM PDT by AT7Saluki

(CNSNews.com) - Reacting to the announcement that North Korea successfully conducted a nuclear test, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) called Monday for an investigation of the Bush administration's "failed North Korea policies."

In a release, Reid said that "on the Bush Administration's watch, North Korea's arsenal has grown to as many as a dozen bombs," because he said Bush is "distracted by Iraq and paralyzed by internal divisions."

Calling the test "reckless and counterproductive," Reid called on Bush to "rally the international community and ... directly speak with the North Koreans so they understand we will not continue to stand on the sidelines."

Reid also called for a "full review" of the Bush administration's "failed North Korea policy," the development of "recommendations to change course," and direct communication with the North Koreans about "the consequence of their actions and the administration's new course."

No, no, no this is Bush's fault of course because Clinton just announced that he had plans to bomb the nuclear reactors in '94 but didn't.

See it's all very clear now, Clinton planned to kill Osama but didn't...Bush's fault. Clinton planned to take out Sadaam but didn't, Bush's fault...Clinton planned to stop genocide in The Sudan but didn't, Bush's fault.....Clinton planned to resond to repeated terror attacks but didn't, Bush's fault.

Hey I'm starting to really understand this foriegn policy stuff.

True, the Midiots will play his remarks to death, and beat the drum for the DNC more.
(Midiots = media idiots.)

What I want to say about Reid, if I said it here, would get me a time out and possibly a call from the feds.

He is the lowest lowlife scum of a traitor I've seen in some time. Amazingly, so are most of his fellow Dems. Were we a more civilized nation, we'd tar and feather all of them.

Personally I think President Bush should have a prime time television press conference and appoint Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi as negotiators and see what kind of solution they manage.

Reid is an idiot. He should onvestigate Clinton handing the NorKs the materials for a nuke.

Exactly. The short memory of Democrats when it serves their dishonest purposes is almost amusing.

He must think we were all born yesterday.

It worries me if these guys win in '06, but in some ways, it'll ensure our victory in 2008 if they govern ANYTHING like they talk.

It was sounding good, until he got to his "solution": Talk to North Korea so they will know we won't stand on the sidelines anymore. Brilliant.

Yeah, what is he going to say, "Please, Sir, stop developing and testing these weapons, and hey we know you'll oblige since we are Democrats. Thank you kindly."

You know, it's times like this I thank God for FR. It's good to know there are still lots of sane people in the midst of 24/7 Dem insanity.

Considering how some voters act, some were born yesterday.

The Democrats firmly believe that the American people are stupid. That is why they will fail at this election once again.

I note Reid's usual opportunistic approach is to demand a new soundstage from which he may rip Bush, coupled with his customary desperate avoidance of proposing a policy more successful than the current one. What's your plan, Harry?

"You were too busy with Monica to implement your point"

He did, er, implement his point.
Just not on the NorK nuke facilities.

And offer to buy them one-way tickets to Pyongyang for those negotiations.

Harry, Harry, Harry,

The genesis of the nuclear program in North Korea is already well known. It began with Jimmy Carter acting as semi-official ambassador to North Korea, and making them promises which to Jimmy were sacred, but pooped all over by first Kim Il-Sung, then later by Kim Jong-Il. It was further exacerbated by no less a personage than Maddie Albright, who delivered on the promises that Jimmy made, but was herself disappointed by the revelation that the North Korean father-and-son Communist kings lied to her.

The Family Kim knew a good deal when it was offered, and proceeded in the belief that non-performance on their part would not suffer much reproof from the regime of the "Shan" (previously known as the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001"). Now, the "Shan" talked tough, but not where Kim Jong-Il was likely to hear him, and even if word of all this trash talk got back to Kim, (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), the "Shan" didn't really mean it.

Something happened in 2001. The "Shan" left office, and was replaced with a real President. When George W. Bush said something, he meant what he said, a very disconcerting thing for those who had grown accustomed to the doublespeak of the years when the "Shan" played at the job. The Kabuki theater was over. Grownups were once again in charge.

And Harry thinks this is a bad thing.
