Surely you don't see as analogous the Pakistan horror and the Amish horror, do you? The difference is stark, something like placing your kids in a small cage full of hungry lions versus placing your kids in a quiet, out-of-the-way meadow not known to have been frequented by wild animals of any sort for many years.

Analogies are tricky things and must be used with caution.

Best regards...

Whether you consider it to be an analogy or not is beside the point. It's stupid to blame the victim.

I won't pretend I don't see your point. I do, and I accept the justice in it. I also accept that my analogies only fitted where they touched. My Bad. Also - I agree with the others who echo your point.

I just don't want this thread to devolve into a "Its All the Parent's Fault" fest. There were several Muslim men involved who - by an odd societal reflex that we are all starting to share - are not being blamed for their actions. These are not hyenas or wolverines, but men. We have started to assume evil behaviour from Islamics (fair enough) - but I am terribly concerned that we have stopped blaming them for it. We must not treat Muslim peoples as a dangerous natural phenomena to be avoided. We must treat them - and punish them - as men.
