Clinton had plans to attack N. Korea's reactor?
There are plans for any thinkable situation.
What's done is what counts, the same goes for his "coming close to Osama" story. Nothing got done.
What he did: Sending his delegate Jimmy, this later Nobel Price winner to Korea who then sanctioned this ruler after we assured supplying him food and oil for the dictator's promise to stop developing atomic weapons.
Madam Albright got also into the act when Clinton found out that Koreans broke the promise and continued with nuclear development.
Clinton's actions: Disregard, denials.
Clinton changed the subject and got deep deep into convincing liberals and the MSM that oral sex is not sex, then lied under oath in front of a federal jury which cost him his law license for 5 years.
Nothing different from finally ordering bombing of Osama's by then deserted camp plus an Aspirin factory which he labeled as producing chemical weaponry exactly the day before his impeachment hearings.
And now Clinton claims he had plans? for what...is it to move back into the White House through his wife to resume activities?

My response was to this and specifically this, the article thread:
"ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands -- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton says he had plans in the early 1990s to attack and destroy North Korea's nuclear facilities after the secretive communist state was found to be producing weapons-grade plutonium. At the time, he said, North Korea had plans to produce between six and eight nuclear weapons per year."
And some on FR who said that the above was not true or did not happen, i.e. that there was no plan or that we did not come close.
Your task it would seem would be to prove the above italics as false. Be my guest.

CORRECTION TO THE ABOVE REPORT:
"Former U.S. President Bill Clinton says he had plans in the early 1990s to bang Korean nookie."
To: Perdogg
He heard the reactor containment wessels - placed side by side like that, with a honking cleft in between - looked just like...
Wee, you know what I mean...

Plans? BULLSH*T!
The only way he would have attacked it is if it had a vagina.

Q: Which story has more credence:
A) Clinton 'had plans to attack N. Korea reactor'
B) Clinton changes party affiliation to Republican, campaigns for Republican candidates across the nation
C) Both - neither are believable.

"Plans? LOL. So Onyx, does this mean you think Bill's plan of flying over NK in Air Force One, and using NK like his Oval Office sink, wouldn't have stopped Lil' Kimmie's nuclear progress???
(....sarcasm off thingee goes in this spot....)

easy for him to say, does he have to get clearance to disclose what comes out of his mouth? No, but he DOES need to wipe, afterward... I hear he keeps a roll handy for just such exigencies!

A task that might require diving into Sandy Berger's skivvies?
Be my guest!
Since Clintonistas have advanced the proposition that Willie was a veritable `Rambo' vis a vis N. Korea ("It was all we could do to hold him back!") don't they have the burden of proving that assertion?
The only things Clinton ever attacked were helpless women and Big Macs.

Yes. The DOD drew up the plan to attack in June 1994. It was not acted upon. That is not the issue. Some are saying here that no plan was drawn up. The fact is, the plan was drawn up. It was about 24-48 hours away to being enacted, however, the appeasing "Framework Agreement" was reached and so it was cancelled. I am not a fan of Clinton. I am a fan of history and facts and stating what had actually happened.

You too. I had meant to cash in my mutual funds back in the mid 90s and buy Yahoo.
To: Right_in_Virginia
He did not follow through because the North Koreans agreed back in those tense days in June 94 to the "Framework Talks" (which of course we all agree was a Clinton sellout) and then the plans did not go forward.
This is NOT to say there were NOT plans!!

"We actually drew up plans to attack North Korea and to destroy their reactors and we told them we would attack unless they ended their nuclear program," Clinton told a security forum
So what stopped him?
Attackus interruptus or some similar thing.........

There is a plan on the table FOR EVERY PRESIDENT to attack a wide number of countries.
Clinton had a plan to attack Cuba, Venezuela, Iraq, Syria, China, etc, etc, etc.
Every President has these plans. It's part of war-gaming.
It means nothing to have the plan......it means everything to have a spine.
