Clinton's probably telling them to set off a few more. It's all Bush's fault you know!
Why not? No one is going to stop them.
What, more sanctions? That's laughable. They are starving their people anyway. Oh, the united front of the UN is soooooooooooo powerful. Kim is shaking in his newly radioactive boots.
More of the "Clinton Legacy".
Which will come first?
Their second test or, the massive, immediate action by the UN?
The "Truman Legacy" as well.
Why I have bad feeling about this
Stupid, Stupid, Stupid appeasers.....They wont learn until thousands, perhaps millions are dead and sick from fallout.
moadim l'simcha
"Congratulations, Kim."
Could anyone blame Japan at this point for developing their own nuclear deterrent?
FNC news alert suspicious movement spotted in another NK site?
That North Korea would detonate another A-bomb shouldn't surprise anyone. They have to test their bombs in order to perfect them, since I suppose they don't possess the computer modeling capacity to test their weapons any other way.
Personally, I would not. On the other hand, I think that this event might have an upside.
If Japan and SK decide to rely on the US nuke deterrent instead of getting their own, that might turn a little light on in Beijing. Afterall, Beijing's policy has been to try to push the US out of the region. If it could be demonstrated that a US presence is actually beneficial to Beijing, their policy might change.
Also, this incident might force Beijing and Moscow to reconsider their support for Iran.
On the other hand, #1 & #2 above are contradictory. Beijing is not likely to reconsider Iran if Japan decides not to go for the bomb. They'll just think, "NK has the bomb. Big deal."
I'm listening to the commentary on tv.
All I'm hearing is economic leverage, sanctions, pressure points, blah blah blah....
And for those who jumped for joy that this would knock Foley off the front page...bottom line is it doesn't matter who's more to blame, Clinton or Bush, because the dems are having a field day blaming Bush for naming NK part of the axis of evil, but for not taking care of the problem before now, which is going to be much more HUGE than Foley.
So what's he waiting for, NK to take aim?
I have a different view. A nuclear Japan would cause a tremor through China. While they would like America out of the region, to have two nuclear powers in the region opposed to them would be a serious problem from China's point of view.
Thanks for leaving us this mess Clinton.
It will serve as a reminder as to why the Democrats should never hold power again.
japan should have developed their military, including nukes, years ago.
