THE Dixie Chicks' biggest detractor, FreeRepublic.com founder Jim Robinson, declined to appear in their documentary, "Shut Up and Sing."
[ Snip]
Robinson's rep, Kristinn Taylor, confirmed he ducked the interview: "He told me to go ahead and do it."
Who knew Jim controlled the country music industry. AWESOME!
Interesting...I never knew that Pasdar's father was born in Iran.
That's like being invited to go on Springer's show. Same level of discussion; same class.
What I can not understand is how absolutely
clueless these people are concerning what
conservatives believe, and what FR is all about!
It would have been like appearing with Bill Maher. You don't get to present your ideas, you are there solely to be mocked and edited out of context. There is no such thing as a documentary today anyways. There are only propaganda pieces and hatchet jobs portraying themselves as documentaries.
NOT. ;-)
Keep up the GREAT work! FR is a force to be reckoned with. {evil laugh}
You told them to do what?
Now Ken Sunshine, who reps the George Bush-bashing Chicks...
Ken 'Sunshine'?!?
Nah ..... ain't goin' there :-)
"he'd rather hide behind his keyboard than have a real discussion about his ideas . . ."
At least he has ideas. We haven't heard one of those from the Dixie Chicks yet, or from their mental clones in Hellywood, the MSM, the universities or the unions.
From Wikipedia:
"He then moved on to politics, serving as chief-of-staff for David Dinkins during his time as mayor of New York. After Dinkins lost to Rudolph W. Giuliani, Sunshine started a public relations firm where he represented Barbra Streisand.
Sunshine's clients now include Ben Affleck, John Mayer, Jon Bon Jovi, Barbra Streisand, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake, and several unions including 1199SEIU and the Transport Workers Union Local 100.He gained notoriety for his fight against the "stalkerazzis." He has filed numerous lawsuits against many of the top celebrity gossip magazines"
No kidding. Remember what that fat a$$ Moore did to Charelton Heston? Why would somebody want to set for an interview, knowing that just about everything they say will be re-edited and taken out of context??
A loser in politics so he moves to PR. Seems he's a loser for the chicks too. Why would anyone that boycotted their music want to put money in their pockets by appearing in a political PR movie?
He'd have to clean up his language first.
Frankly I'm sick of them giving Freerepublic credit for my own personal decision to not listen to or buy any more chick music after what the hags said first about our President then about their own fans.
I didn't need a web site to be disgusted with their filthy, cowardly mouths and lack of respect for our Country and for those who brought them to the top, the fans.
Had they just issued an apology and shut up for a while I'm sure I would have gotten over the stupidity but they just kept on picking at the scab insulting every person who ever bought a frikkin concert ticket or CD.
Besides all that she went and messed with TK...now that was unforgivable. ;)
I'm tired of them still claiming people are so ignorant we can't make a decision of what music we want to hear and support without the leadership of FR.
I am so happy you chose to steer clear of this setup in their film. These people aren't worthy of being in the same stratosphere.
Ken Sunshine can contribute his best thoughts to this forum anytime he pleases.
Shut and and Sing huh? They can't even be original with a title. Why on Earth should Jim debate an obvious mental midget.
Why don't they come here, sign up and debate on Jim's turf?
These obnoxious twits think they are the center of the universe, and everyone must genuflect.
