THE Dixie Chicks' biggest detractor, FreeRepublic.com founder Jim Robinson, declined to appear in their documentary, "Shut Up and Sing."

[ Snip]

Robinson's rep, Kristinn Taylor, confirmed he ducked the interview: "He told me to go ahead and do it."

"She looks like a baked potato in foil"

Well, I'm confused now. I thought the foil kept the potato hot.

These liberals are so predictable.

NO . . . . . let's not blame ourselves for trying to impress our lunatic liberal ideologies onto our fan base (you know - the ones who pay for our exuberant lifestyle) and then have it blow up in our faces.

No . . . . . somehow we must be the victims here.

What to do . . . .hmmmmmm

I know - lets call our trusted friends the griefarazzi liberal MSM and blame the "Vast right wing FreeRepublic conspiracy"!!!!

Don't laugh - if it works watch Hillary use it 2 years from now.

But now you can say that YOU "made PAGE SIX", which most celebrities would kill to do.

You need to get one of the PAGE SIX t-shirts, now. :-)

If the posters on FR brought down the Dixie Chicks for their dissing of the president, I say more power to them. Congratulations and great job! People in the entertainment business would do well to stay clear of politics.

True, true, true. As Laura Ingraham's best selling book proclaims: "Shut Up and Sing. How Elites from Hollywood, Politics, and the UN are Subverting America."

"As I understand it she started off with anti-Bush remarks in a foreign country, which is not particularly remarkable, compounded the problem by insulting first her fellow artists and then her audience. I think I see what the problem is here and it isn't FR"

You got it!
And may I say you were very politely succinct!

Well...nothing like feeling like you fell down some kind of Rabbit hole.

Thanks for the clarification. Now I realize it was all as I perceived it to be.

That is exactly what did it for me. The politics...eh. But Babs telling ME (of Mount Everest of Laundry fame) to hang it out on a clothesline? Is she NUTS! I would need at least three acres to accomplish that. I DARE that woman to come live my life for a week.

I remember years ago I was watching Oprah (who knows why) and some lady in the audience had her appointment book and to-do lists with her, which Oprah wanted to see. So the woman opens them up to let her look.

Oprah says "Yeah, we have about the same amount to do each week." At which the woman looked at her incredulously and replied..." A week? That's my list for tomorrow."

Bwahahaha. Yeah sure celebs...tell the rest of us how to live. It's so endearing. I have said it before and I will say it again...my favorite Celebrities are those who are grateful to their fans and understand we don't want to be lectured to, but entertained. Period. We took you to the fancy farm...and we can quit paying the bills just that quick. They'd be wise to understand that.

Great post!

They obviously see themselves as important to make a connection to FR.

Their thinking...Sales are slipping, concerts cancelled - someone must have done or said something for this to happen.

Chicks, indeed, too yellow to own up to their own downfall. Losers play the blame game.

I've followed a few of the Dipsy Twits threads here and have commented a few times. I think it's absolutely hilarious that Mr. [snicker] Sunshine and the Dipsy Twits are blaming you and FR for their suicide attempt.

I'll just re-post here one of my previous posts, as it applies even moreso now...

First rule of holes: when you find yourself in one, stop digging.

Fat Nat is obviously too stooopid to comprehend that.

"Life is hard. But it's harder if you are stupid."
--John Wayne

"Ignorance can be cured by education. Stupid is forever." --me

Thank you again Mr. Robinson for the forum you have provided those who actually love this country and would like to see it returned to the way our Founding Fathers meant it to be.

At this rate, it won't be long until I get my picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone!

I've followed the Dixie Twits story very closely, and I never heard fat Nat or her cohorts blame FR. This is new, to me anyway. I think the publicity is great, lol.

Well, I think the fact that their fan base has not returned is getting to them, along with the issue of no air play on scores of country radio. I think they thought this was a passing fad agin' 'em.

They're flailing away now...

Jim Robinson and Karl Rove. Has anyone ever seen them in the same room? Think about it. ;)

Thanks for a confident, sober reply to the insulting and profane Mr. Sunshine (!). He and the Chicks obviously want to make an example out of you as much as they feel they were made an example. It's wise of you not to take the bait. They will have to continue to bash their "redneck" former fans without you making yourself available to be the poster child for eeeeevil patriots.

"Jim Robinson and Karl Rove. Has anyone ever seen them in the same room? Think about it. ;)"

That's it! You've cracked the case. I always knew there was something uncanny about both Robinson and Rove. Why just look! Even their last names begin with the same letter. Proof positive. And to think the answer was right under our little noses all the time....

(Does anyone 'spose any of the trolls bought that? It'll be on CNN in 20 minutes if they did.)
