When reformers such as Representative Mike Pence and Senator Tom Coburn are shunted aside then a housecleaning is in order.

And to turn the Congress over to the Party of Treason, at this critical period in history?

Anyone who would vote for a Democratic Congress is a traitor to the United States and deserves the punishment due to traitors.

Fortunately for the Repubs, the RATS are overreaching.

We wouldn't want the House cleaning to be done while the Democrats controlled the House of Representatives.

American had to suffer with Carter before it was ready to vote for Reagan. Perhaps history is repeating itself.

I agree with you. I heard Tom Coburn say on C-SPAN that it would not be the worst thing if the GOP lost one round of elections. It looks like this might be it, and I expect that after two years of watching the Dims turn Congress into a circus, the GOP will come back - hopefully, under the leadership of principled conservatives like Coburn.

Like bloody hell, it!

Read FR and see how many who once grumbles, are now voting straight GOP this year, even though they are going to have to find an extra-strength clothespin for their nose. We might be angry at the GOP, but the Dems went WELSTONE FUNERAL, with the Foley thing! This is a case of unintended consequences, but there it is and Luntz is so out of the loop ( as usual ), that he's at least 1 week behind.

It's really strange. When Studds was boinking a 17 year old page it was no big deal. Foley sends a page a perverted email and it's the end of the world. Too many "Americans" are doing too many recreational drugs.

Perceptions are being skillfully sculpted and manipulated to be presented by the MSM to the public.

As they say in the media "Perception is Reality!"

It is beginning to look like the Republicans will be spending the bulk of their time and money now on the defence on this non-issue.

I'm Still waiting for the so called October surprise that was supposed to be comming to save the day.

Hey Time, what are my options? 1) Stay home and turn the country over to communists and America haters who love homosexuality; 2) Vote democrat and turn the country over to communists and America haters who love homosexuality; 3) Vote republican and turn the country over to debt-addicted legislators who now and then send perv messages to pages.

I think I know what I'll do.

Judging from some folks at FR, denial is not just a river in DU land.

The Republicans have NOT been acting conservative. On social issues, yes. But Christian Socialist nannystating is not what the GOP was founded on, and now they can't hold themselves up as the party of morality, either. It doesn't matter if the Democrats were worse in this area-this isn't about them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again-if the GOP loses they have no one to blame but themselves. And I can't really buy the line that things will be worse if the Rats are in charge-judging from the Republicans' behavior when it comes to fiscal responsibility and border security, the Rats can't do much more damage than the Pubbies already have.
