"It's not just him......the GOP, as a party, is not conservative either"

Ah....... That is the root cause of why we are even in a close race with Pelosi and her wicked democrats. We have strayed far from conservative values.

It's liberals and impostors trying to suppress the GOP turn out.

I don't buy any of the I'm more conservative than you BS.

NO TRUE Conservative would hand over the reigns to the liberals.
They will cut and run in Iraq and throw out military to the wolves. They would set back the SCOTUS for decades.

I call BS when I hear it.... and I'm calling it now.
This is a divide and conquer trick that will not work. The liberals will get us killed.

President Bush has something they don't have..Guts.

The desperation is really apparent on the part of the Dems when they have spent all year posting things like this here to split the base.

The Democrats can't and aren't splitting the Republican base...The Republican politicians get all of the credit for that...

There are a few times in life when one just has to suck it up and choose the lesser of the evils. This is one of those times.

There is just too much at stake with the WOT and the Supreme Court to take a chance.

But Christian Socialist nannystating is not what the GOP was founded on, and now they can't hold themselves up as the party of morality, either.

Screw being the party of morality. Are you going to judge all Republicans because one had a propensity for being gay? The age of consent in the District of Columbia is 16. Therefore, Foley broke no laws. Even though he lusted after young men, he kept it to himself until they were of age. So he was gay. BFD! Get a life! Thank God that I have commited enough sins to be able not to expect moral perfection from the people I vote for.

"Luntz should disclose that he is currently working for Harry Reid and that no Republicans have him on their payroll for this election"

So you think Lutz has created these findings, not just reported on them.
Have you not been listening to those of us here who have been warning those that think like you, there's some problems with this GOP's style of conservatism.
Do you think we are all democratic plants or Bucahannanites?

Yep, but by then the damage will be done. It will take years to recover.

The MSM is trying its hardest to convince everyone that Dem conrol is a done deal. The only way they will be successful is if this demotivates the Rep base. I think it is having just the opposite effect.

The Foley case will have zero effect on the elections, and we will retain control of both houses of Congress.

These Foley threads are attracting the D.U. trolls like flies!

They won't win. The must think we're a bunch of idiots. These are just a bunch of sniveling pansies who were never voting GOP anyway. The DNC pays them well.

There are a few times in life when one just has to suck it up and choose the lesser of the evils. This is one of those times.

That line worked well on me in 2000, 2002, and 2004. In 2006, it's old, stale, and hollow. Those "few times in life" are used up. Moreover, having a long-term view as I do, I am not even convinced that voting GOP this year is good for the GOP itself.

But there were larger problems than the leaks. Four years ago, it was the analysts who goofed, drawing faulty conclusions in an election that was too close to call. This time around, it seems that the data itself was bad. "We looked across every state and it looked like a Kerry sweep [of the swing states]," said Michael Maslansky of Luntz Research. His boss, GOP pollster Frank Luntz, sent out an e-mail to clients at 4 p.m. ET on Election Day extrapolating a huge Kerry win from the exit polls.
