Don't forget- encourage Dems and liberals to be sure to vote since they are going to be on the winning side.

And also don't forget--
They pad polls to create headline "news" stories so they can discuss endlessly all the reasons that they people are leaving the Republicans in droves over this or that. That is the most likely reason for the newspaper polls.
How else do you get to regurgitate all the Dem talking points over and over again? You create a fake poll, show the trend away from the GOP, and make up fake terrible reasons why people are fleeing the party.

Way off topic but just asking. Which is more disgusting?
The Love dove(McGreevy), or
Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church?

#881 was intended as another reason why they put put fake polls. The reason was to "encourage Dems and liberals to be sure to vote since they are going to be on the winning side." (in other words to increase Dem turnout)
I would never encourage a Dem to vote even on November 8. I figure if I don't tell them about voting, they might not even know what it is. And I don't know any Dems anyway.

Hello,
The list is growing:
1) Use "close" and/or "Lib winning" poll results to increase fundraising
2) Discourage conservatives and independents from voting
3) Pad poll results to explain dead or nonexistent voters on election day
4) Encourage the Left to get to the polls, based on their belief that their "cause" is a winner
5) Allow for post loss claim of voter fraud and disenfranchisement (Gore in 2000 taught them that lesson well).
Glad to be here, MOgirl

No doubt about it, D.C. is a den of iniquity!!

"Remember Bush 41 and the bar code scanner at the supermarket?"Actually, the real story of Bush 41 and the supermarket story goes like this: President Bush was being shown a new technology bar scanner that could read a torn bar code label. He was expressing amazement, not at the bar code scanner, but at the fact it could read a torn bar code label. It was media distortion that told a false story.
To: spatso
"Bill Chrytstal saying that value voters are being childish and idiots." I believe he said just the opposite. I think he said that the media believes that value voters are childish and idiots, but they are actually informed, dedicated voters who are not swayed by media frenzies.

The reason I asked is to just point out the vast differences here on FR.
Hannity got trashed after having the love dove on for an hr.
Gallagher got praise for having the church on for an hr.
