No, you heard that right.
Scandalous, isn't it? Two adult homosexuals met to have sex. Who'd a thought such a thing could happen. Sure must be news to the media and the Democrat party.
To: samantha
They are painting every Homosexual with a really nasty big brush. They are stepping in it, big time.

I forgot something Pat Buchanan said:
He told Blitzer, DC is a liberal bastion, so liberal they lowered the age of consent to 16. His point, even if Foley had had actual sex with a page in Washington, he wouldn't have been guilty of commiting a crime.

#270, most freepers and good conservatives would agree. A real sign of maturity would be don't open your mouth a spew DBM talking points just to give your audience something/anything from you because it is not wisdom, it is lazy, and pretty soon the listeners will take you to task.Get the facts out there, even if they are unfolding as she is on the air. She must tell her Audience to wait for more info before committing to stupidity.

Moreover the attackers have made Foley into a "victim". According the habits of digesting news that the MSM has drilled into the brains and carcasses of the sheeple still in their sway, that means
- Foley, the victim, cannot be held responsible.
- Those who attack a victim are mean, descpicable, rude and inhumane.
- Therefore and henceforth: The Dems are losing voters over this attack!

Yeah for sure,OF.
Just finished listening to most of MTP. Two things that stood out really quick, at the end of the Tenent bashing episode, after trying to destroy Tenet the entire interview, Tim turns to Tenet and says "now what would you like to say Mr. Tenet? You have 10 seconds." I laughed so hard I almost lost my lunch. Sounds fair and balanced to me!!
Another in Tims interview with Woodward(know known as mr. shark rider) who sounded like he was on several types of downers,Woodward made an exciting discovery that should get him an Oscar, Emmie and a writers award.
Bob Woodward discovered, on his own now, after five years, that there "is" an increase in violence in Iraq!!
What a guy!! What sources! What an in-depth reporter!(I'm now laughing uncontrollably.)

I didn't find a thing she said to be a kick against the Republicans...in fact, far from it.
I thought everything she said was right on the mark and if the Republicans will do what she is saying, we just may retain control this election cycle.

I will concede the apparent inconsistency in Laura's recent statements. I am rarely in a position to listen to her show and haven't during the last week. I tried to see if I could find transcripts so that I could read contextually what she said, when she said it, and in reference to what revelations in the Foley scam, but could not find any. So I will defer to the testimony of my fellow FReepers.
The one caution I would make (I always do) is to avoid the same knee-jerk response to what someone on "our side" says as automatically being "turncoat" when all it is is criticism. Sort of a "Fool me once" kinda thing. If I allow myself to be offended by an ill-advised or intemperate comment, I may be cutting myself off from a valuable resource. There are some RW pundits that I take with a heavy grain of salt, but few that I refuse to listen to or consider ther viewpoint outright. In the final analysis theirs is but a single voice among many necessary to formulate an informed opinion
In the past few months I have heard virtually every conservative pundit thrashed over one issue or another - actually I can't think of one that hasn't been the target of slams from elements on the right. Whether or not the criticisms are warranted is debatable - what isn't debatable (IMNSHO) is that the Dhimmicrat strategy to divide & conquer is working. Keep the "repukes" infighting - that's the key.
Some would say that this is what Laura engaged in, and they may be right. If so, she should be spanked and brought back to Jesus (so to speak). So should those who would lump her in with obvious leftist partisans like timmah russert and Steponallofus.
I appreciate all the comments - in the end I keep my own council. One of my FRiends referred to "Throwing out the baby with the bathwater".
Sage advice.

Bob's a reporter. He lies. If he can't find evidence he invents it. If someone is in a coma being guarded by armed CIA protective detail agents he still somehow manages to get an interview with him. If he get's told that a meeting took place but nothing was discussed he assumes that it must have been a secret warning of the 9/11 attacks. It's only logical. Gee, I like your take. Still, I'd call Bobbie Woodward a cartoonist. He's doing the same kind of emotions-only story telling that evokes cartoon stageplay and carciture of stock personas writing pictures in words that same as Doonesbury does in cartoon strip.

Unfortunatly Laura has seen BOR's success on tv and thinks she has to emulate him trying to be on both sides, it won't work for her.

I disagree. The reason Laura and company are getting targeted has to do with their inside the belt way mentality. They routine are "Me too" junk media lite. There seems to be a real gutlessness to take on the noise machine. So like the Senate RINOS they try to be on both sides. Don't ever take the Junk Media head on and defend President Bush but then throw a few bones to the base. IF the Conservative Establishment is going to be nothing by Democrat Junk Media lite, why should we listen to, or read, them? Like the RINOS some of the Punditry, such as Laura, are too close to the Noise Machine, they need to get OUT of DC.

Agreed, but I mark it up to wanting a quick response and getting ahead of what could become a major issue. I'm not excusing it, just explaining it.
Republicans succeed in resolving problems with solutions.
Democrats reelect their problems and make them committee leaders.
