Sorry, I think some of got carried away. Please keep us informed. I can't watch MTP until it's posted online and won't if it's not worth watching. From what you are saying, Talent may make this worth watching.

I noticed this last night and again today on MTP

The Dems are trying to sound like a republican with the way they are spinning their words

Their actions don't back yp their words

Oh good .. Talent ist pointing that out

Talent must have missed the memo on how to answer the question "knowing what we know now, would you have voted the same way you did?"  The answer to that is "If we new then what we know now, there wouldn't have been a vote to begin with."

Brit Hume makes my earlier point...the latest super hyped revelation of "another page", is meaningless, despite the media trying to hype it up as another thing Hastert is responsible for. thank you Brit. A 21 year old former page is not Hastert's responsibility.

Icky sex scandal, Mira calls it, & even when it's mentioned, with no new revelations, it reminds Values Voters of the scandal.

Fordam has already been proven a liar. Foley didn't "do" pages, he just "flirted" so he could "do" them after they left the program and were consenting adults. That according to the LA Times today.

Bill Kristol is with Laura Ingraham, republicans need to get off the defensive, and they won't lose the house if they do. He mentions a great Nancy Johnson ad showing them how to get back on message.

Voters aren't idiots, Kristol says, they aren't going to base their vote on a creep in Florida.

this woman McCaskell is a scary left-wing dope

"failed policy", "wire surveillance" (?what? I thought the Dems didn't like this).

Talent coming back at her. Heh. Guess the Dems found out that Americans aren't having issues with wire surveillance, so she changes her stand.

"If I recall correctly, one of the most effective things Nixon ever did (before Watergate) was to attack the media. I'd pay money to see the Republicans do the same today."

I'd buy a box seat for that!!!

I've been watching it off and on. Neither one looks overly impressive. It can be argued that Talent has more to lose but I'd be willing to bet that more people are watching the Chief and Rams pre-game shows than Meet the Press.

The Democrats manage to come off looking inept on the subject of Iraq because they come up with stupid alternatives. Move the troops to Kuwait. Withdraw from Iraq but not really. Finish the job but they really are opposed to the job. That may save the GOP on the Iraq matter if nothing else does.

I think he could have done better on whether President Bush has been a good president.

I absolutely agree with that. I was disappointed.

Very disappointed that Talent is trying to put distance between himself and the President. He is dissembling, and is not very good at it.

I think he was trying to say he doesn't agree with the President because he is the President, but because they think alike.

Talent just took the best position on the war in Iraq that I hve ever heard uttered by a politician. It is the same position that I have. Does that mean I agree with him or he agrees with me, or that we agree on that point? At any rate, his position is exactly that same as President Bush's.

Talent absolutely disagrees with the President on illegal immigration and that is a very good thing.

I just heard McCaskill say, "We have failed in Iraq."

I'm from Missouri and it's now time to say bu, bu Claire, nice knowing you.

She was asked about Clinton campaigning for her and she said he was good to have around but she didn't want him around her daughter. I'm sure Bubbas going to love that.

Laura is a "Reactionary" Republican who plays to her Listeners because if something happens out there and she does not say something hitting and biting immediately her listeners feel cheated because she has always been that way. She does not wait for the dust to settle and take another look before she shoots her Mouth off. She will never achieve what Rush has because every day she over reacts, and never gives herself an opportunity to take a second look beyond the Mainscream DBM misinformation campaign. Sometimes she acts dumber than dirt, and very tone deaf. I have to turn her off and switch to Bill Bennett or Glenn Beck, she is bad for Conservatives, and it is so selfish on her part.

"Tony Perkins, Family Research Centers says conservative voters wonder if our "big tent has turned us into a three ring circus." Perkins think the scandal is a huge problem for Nov."

George Bush provides the only possible answer to the Foley scandal, we "are shocked, disappointed and disgusted." Now you have Bill Chrytstal saying that value voters are being childish and idiots. Every time somebody attacks one of the kids as being provocative or somehow responsible, every time a poster blames a Democrat for the problem and every time someone says we are not as bad as they are we lose one more value voter. It is not fair or wise to be attacking value voters because of their concern over this issue.
