(VANITY) Linux Kernel 2.6.18 devfs Mount Error

I know devfs is depricated, but for some reason my server is still trying to mount the devfs filesystem.

Does anyone know if there is any way to correct this?

I've looked up this issue and I've read that it's related to an initrd script but nowhere I've gone has said how to fix it.

Go to Distrowatch.com.
Look up your distro on the right side of the page, and click on the link.
Check for the forum for that distro.
Go to that forum and present your problem. They will respond with correct guidance.
I know what you're talking about, but their advice would be better. Steps to follow may depend on your particular distro and its version.

Try "mount -f"


It's a fake mount. Go through the motions of checking the device and directory, but does not actually mount the filesystem.

Simple fix.

Reroute interserver 1 to the fluxcap ground on board 16 at the lifter junction. Then route it around the hepershaft at any obtuse angle.

Don't forget to reengage the zipbit megapixel thing before beginning or hiss. static and fuzz will result before the meltdown at terminal 14 on the mainframe.
