LOL! From that Coulter piece:
the same Democrats who are incensed that Bush's National Security Agency was listening in on al-Qaida phone calls are incensed that Republicans were not reading a gay congressman's instant messages. Let's run this past the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals: The suspect sent an inappropriately friendly e-mail to a teenager oh also, we think he's gay. Can we spy on his instant messages? On a scale of 1 to 10, what are the odds that any court in the nation would have said: YOU BET! Put a tail on that guy and a credit check, too! When Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee found unprotected e-mails from the Democrats about their plan to oppose Miguel Estrada's judicial nomination because he was Hispanic, Democrats erupted in rage that their e-mails were being read. The Republican staffer responsible was forced to resign.

OH Yes! ...and this needs to be shouted from the rooftops... again and again until somebody listens:
"
When Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee found unprotected e-mails from the Democrats about their plan to oppose Miguel Estrada's judicial nomination because he was Hispanic, Democrats erupted in rage that their e-mails were being read. The Republican staffer responsible was forced to resign."
...and the staffer's (whistle-blower's) name? You guessed it. ...Manuel Miranda!!!
IMO, this is just ONE, OF MANY, reasons why I believe Bill Frist will never be up to the task of being President. Frist and his boys showed NO loyalty, and did NOTHING to support someone on their own team, someone who did NOTHING ILLEGAL, AND someone who was arguably a better person than they themselves, DESERVED. Miranda was working hard at the time trying to get President Bush's nominees confirmed in the face of Democrat Obstruction... while Frist himself was busy spending all his time getting that lousy Socialist subset of Hillary-care (Medicare D) rammed through. (...and then having the GALL to keep sending me emails bragging about it!!!)
Here is more on that sad chapter...
"
Miranda helped galvanize the Senate Republican caucus and outside constituent
groups such as Hispanics and Catholics behind the nominees." ...from the article at:

The House under the Republicans, even with all their own failings, is a much better place than under the Democrats. I'm old enough to remember the cesspool that the House was under Democratic Speakers Carl Albert, Tip O'Neill, Jim Wright and Tom Foley.
HAH!
cesspool + Tip = Big Dig/Federal Money/Dem Presidential Candidates/Unindicted Murderers... etc.
Stop me now, before I post again!
