What is really
"sick" is the puny pack of so-called Americans preoccupied with never ending public relations deception campaign for Moscow's top tyrant. Now that's not only sick, but warrants serious questions concerning 'why'?
You must be overjoyed, another critic of your hero Col Putin has been once again brutally murdered, KGB style, Putin's personal preference.
The top weapons benefactor of the Axis of Evil has no soul - and neither do his most fanatical propagandists.

Some have family ties with Russians. Others follow the old conspiracy stories.

As for our US Government, many are convinced by certain social program supporters, market lobbies and Vietnam-era retirees that we should keep relations with Russia cool (instead of cold) as a foreign relations balance in Asia. Influential Indian officials continue to believe that they can trust Russia as a hedge against PLA and/or Pakistani flareups (should a conflict develop). India can get arms much cheaper from Russia, and we're not selling the latest toys to India. The answer, IMO, is to convince the Indians that we share important cultural similarities (like the preference for independence, for one, and lack of desire for "empire").
Our powers that be want to keep China, Russia and India happy. They don't want market stoppages today (and aren't very concerned about future consequences).
And as you know (on lobbies in our USA), everything is becoming a commodity, in a sense. It's all about feeling good right now. People have changed in some ways.
You also know that I have little background in pointing to market considerations. ...only what I've seen from the bottom (temp. contracts, public news and the like).

Johnny7 was correct. The cartoon you chose to post is indeed 'spot on.' Putin was and still is KGB. His primary goal is to bring down the Bush administration. Russia orchestrated the biggest fraud of the New Millennium by helping Saddam smuggle his WMDs to Syria. The MSM bought into the lie because they are a squalid bunch of Bush hating idiots. Even Bill Clinton believed Iraq had WMDs. Nobody doubted that Iraq had WMD during the Clinton administration. Putin is responsible for most of Bush's political problems since we invaded Iraq. Now the Bush haters have a real chance of taking control of Congress. This phony 'underage page abuse' scandal is still dominating media reports. Watch Georgie Steponallofus tomorrow. He will be pushing this phony news report with all of his might. NBC and SeeBS will be pushing the story even harder than ABC. FOX News will be reporting the same garbage. Katie whats-her-name will be pushing it again on Monday. Just one reason why I no longer watch television news. I keep the television turned off. Unless I'm watching DVDs, that fancy idiot box stays off.
Why anyone would permit the invasion of their privacy by television commercials is beyond me. Insipid programming and biased news reports with insipid advertising -- television is a total waste of time.
