The English reformation had just ended, and naturally the English Monarchy was far more worried about persecuting Catholic clergy and stealing Church lands than helping them battle Muslims.

Any day the Muzz are defeated and repulsed is a good day in history. They should be beaten back until the only Muzz on earth live in the wasteland deserts of Arabia which spawned the cult
Am prayerfully pondering joining you.
A worthwhile event, for sure.
Thanks.
I join you in agreeing in said prayers.
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
Good, Biblical strategies, imho.
Thx.
ROSARY HYMN
Battle of Lepanto, Christian Victory Over Muslim Forces, Oct 7, 1571
The clouds hang thick o'er Israel's camp
As dawns the battle day;
Arise, bright Star of Dominic
And chase the gloom away;
And where the foemen fiercest press,
Thy glory may we see:
Shine o'er the banners of thy sons
And lead to victory!
The weapon which our Father gave
Each hand shall fearless wield;
Who bear our Lady's Rosary
Need neither sword nor shield:
With dauntless faith the ranks they face
Of error and of sin,
And, armed with those blest beads alone,
The victory they win.
See o'er Lepanto's waters spread
The Moslems' dark array!
A voice to Christendom went forth
And gave the word to pray:
Jesus! Mary! Names of strength
Invoked and not in vain:
They conquered in our hour of need,
And conquer shall again!
As Pius* then to Europe spake
So Leo** speaks once more:
The Rosary our weapon still
To wield in Holy War:
Ave Maria! from each tongue
Shall rise the pleading word;
Oh! doubt not that the prayer of faith
Will now, as then, be heard.
* Pope St Pius V
** Pope Leo XIII
I have an uncle who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He said they were terrified and none of them thought they'd make it out alive.
I've been praying that the Lord would confuse the terrorists; that He would misdirect their communications (so that we would intercept it) and that any devices they have to harm anyone would harm only them. They would either go off prematurely or not at all, and kill only those who intend harm and would die anyway. I need to be more consistent in that however, to my shame.
Good job! I,too, have been confessing that the Lord has "already delivered into our hands" Zawahiri, OBL, and Omar. (I had been confessing Zarqawi, but that has already come to pass).
Thanks for the ping, Metmom. I apologize for my lack of replies. Have been out of town for the last 10 days and have only irregular acccess to a computer.
Will catch up my pings as soon as I return home this weekend.
I usually figure someone is busy if they don't get back to me. All I ever hope is that no one has met any misfortune. There was a FReeper sometime back who had been attacked by a student and was out for two years. Unfortunately, if something happens to someone, the anonymity of FR makes it impossible to track them down. Glad you're OK.
I watched *Flight 93* on the History Channel this weekend. It has only solidified my feelings about islam. What a powerful movie.
