They should be executed. He was "awaiting trial" on "suspicion". In our system we are INNOCENT until proven guilty.
Uh, "innocent until proven guilty" was still the law the last time I checked, friend. I detest kiddie porn and those who traffic in it, but until someone is proven guilty in a court of law (or pleads guilty), the law says he's innocent.
There was never a trial. This guy was murdered.
....this subhuman insect.
He has become assimilated!
The man was being tried on SUSPICION.
You are excusing the murder of a man that was merely accused.
Keep in mind that the GOP is "under suspicion" for harboring a representative who sent some questionable IMs. Sheesh. Anyone remember Janet Reno and Waco, Texas?
>Investigators were interviewing some 140 inmates, he said.
Of whom of course saw or heard nothing "unusal."
With a name like Chamberlain from south OC in a Santa Ana jail, a city which is about 80% illegal immigrants , chances are he was beaten to death because he didn't fit the gang profile or speak the language of the other prisoners, doubtful they even knew or cared anything else, or if some of them were guiltless of the same crime.
I have a problem here folks. I in no way would miss a pedophile who was killed by inmates in a prison. However, let's play devils advocate for just one second. What if the charges against this guy were false? If you have paid attention to the news in the past few years many inmates have been freed after DNA test confirmed they were innocent of committing a rape (and in many cases after spending more than a decade in prison). People are falsely accused in our society, and all deserve their day in court (regardless of the charges against them). To celebrate the "murder" of someone awaiting trial is wrong. Consider what if that was you, and you had been falsely accused of some act of pedophilia? Would you want to be placed in that position? We do have a system of justice in which everyone is by constitutional amendment entitled to a fair trial. These comments supporting those who murdered this person are wrong.
When I read the comments here then I see how close we are to the end.
Pretty sad when the inmates in California are better at dispensing justice than the state courts
This man had not even been convicted but say he had... This prison justice isn't right. I'm not talking about criminals rights either. As far as I'm concerned , when we convict them, they have none, and belong to the state who is removing them from society. A responsibility goes with that too IMO. I'm all for isolation and letting them out one at a time for showers, exercise etc under direct supervision but it doesn't say much for society when prisoners are hurt or killed under our watch, esp when we cheer about it. It sounds too much like one of them.
Numerous people have been tried for possession of kiddie porn because it was on their computer. And later it was learned that their computer was hacked via the Internet and used to distribute porn without the owners knowledge.
All you have to do is be missing a critical security patch and no network firewall and your in big trouble.
I'm going to stick with trials.
I find no comfort in this brutatlity...
Ahh, isn't that just too bad, these guys ought to have their sentences shortened for doing good for society.
Scene two: Mom wants custody of children
Scene three: Mom claims dad had inappropriate sexual contact with their children in a fradulent attempt to win custody
Scene four: Dad in jail awiating trial is murdered because he was accused of a crime
Epilogue: You hope that never happens to you. I wouldn't mind if it did happen to you since you don't give the victim the benefit of a trial
