Wild Bill at Passionate America that discovered the name of the former page that received the sexual IMs from Foley has received an email from Jordan Edmunds attorney, Stephen Jones, demanding he pull the story. Wild Bill is looking for advice from any leagal eagles out there.
Two Versions Of The Foley Emails, And One Fake
******************************AN EXTRACT******************************
Wild Bill, over at Passionate American, did an analysis of the CREW and StopSexPredators (SSP) versions a while back (check it out). In that analysis the Âsubject line had not been overwritten in the SSP versions with Âemail 2′, etc that we find in the other two versions. The date field is totally missing in the SSP web versions and the typing was inconsistent - like someone was taking dictation. So that makes the SSP version completely different from the EARLIER versions CREW and ABCNEWS had in May and August (see the timeline). Which means either ABC News, or CREW, or the original source dictated or worked with SSP to create faked versions - which supposedly broke the story
SSP did not get any original emails from a Page or friend of the Page. That is clear because all emails have a date field (magically missing from the SSP creations). The emails at SSP are clearly forgeries that were based on the information in the posession of CREW and ABC News because the text is accurate, just not all the punctuation.
Catching up in thread. If these IM's were forged by an 'Internet Security Expert' then Jones might be right on that specific legality case.
Well, my impression from the McVeigh trial was that Jones is something of an attention whore - wouldn't surprise me if he is doing this for the attention...
"outed" a lawyer and a former page, with a ten foot pole.
Why?
2. Place your own attorney on retainer. That involves a nominal up-front fee and an arrangement with that attorney to work for a set hourly fee (or whatever other arrangement might be mutually acceptable.)
3. Wait. All IMHO and I'm not a lawyer.
ABC, Brian Ross, C.R.E.W., Soros, Pelosi, Rogers, and GOD only knows who else, most certainly committed all kinds of criminal acts; from blackmail to tampering of evidence, to harassment, to I don't know what all else.
Discussion here seems to indicate that they can,,,but mostly for intimidation and then they have to do more to get something recognized by a judge....
(( ping ))
I agree 100% with backhoe.
And I'll go a step further - - it is illegal to threaten to sue somebody, and Wild Bill may want to contact an attorney for the purpose of pressing charges and/or suing this bastard Stephen Jones. Get mad and bury him.
I would ignore it. No bona fide lawyer is going to communicate professionally by e-mail.
Damn democrats, even the controversies they cause have juvenile inuendo with normal discussion.
Where can we send money?
Agreed.
If issued by a court, it's a temporary restraining order or injunction.
Attorneys send cease and desist letters all the time. It is really a threat to resort to legal action if the request is not complied with.
Have you guys seen this?
