We see what blogging has done for couric. Outted her as an intolerant pig.

Suggesting that the opinion of Mr. Rohrbach on the murder of his son at Columbine......was REPUGNANT.

Why do I have a feeling that Mr. Downie's idea of a "blog" is limited to sites like Kos, DU and Huff Post, while sites like DUFU, LGF and FR are "peddlers of hate speech?"

"Everyone in Our Newsroom Wants to Be a Blogger"

But they aren't fit to shine shoes.

Who in their right mind would spend one second reading a blog by a deceitful Washington Post J-School propagandist?

W-P'ers want to be bloggers?

Sorry, not qualified.

Too many people questioning the validity of your facts, figures and motives.

Woodward/Bernstein and the woman reporter who totally fabricated the "Little Johnny" story, AND won a Pulitzer, would be buzzard bait in less than 30 minutes.

He said that the 24/7 news cycle has changed his newsroom for the better, with reporters always tuned in to what's happening and constantly trying to find stories to report for the Web site -- and that reporters could add more detail because the Web had "unlimited newshole."

I'm not surprised this appeals to them. The Washington Post newsroom has always been known for its unlimited supply of a certain other kind of hole.

Drudge is not a blogger. Free Republic is not a blog. Blogs really aren't that powerful.

They all want to be bloggers because they realize fewer and fewer people are paying attention to their lies and propaganda. As a result, all the "glamour" is seeping out of their profession, leaving them with little more than filth and ashes, and the obligation to follow the directions of people like Mr. Downie. This is another symptom of the MSM's mortal illness.

"Everyone in our newsroom wants to be a blogger."

That's because they see where the Dinosaur Media, like the WaPo, is going and there's no glory in writing tech manuals.

The reality is finally hitting home.

They have lost their monopoly, and they now admit it.

They are now forced to reckon with the FACT that the GOP has thrived for the past 26 years desite the billions of dollars worth of free PR and support the "press" and Hollywood and academia (often at Govt expense) have given to them. A majority of the PEOPLE have rejected all that CRAPOLA, despite the long odds against it happening with such one-sided institutional bias against the GOP.

And now that our side has tools to make those fora more balanaced, they are having to compete for audience and for adherants to their leftist world view.
