Ripples in center of crater are huge "Sand Dunes". I guess a lot of loose dirt has been blown into the crater over the years and has collected as dunes.

The flat feature in the bottom of the crater is very common on Mars. It looks like water, but it is dust.

Is that water in the crater? Looks like it to me. if you go to the link and read the article, they tell which color modes are used on the different photos - this one says"
"This is an enhanced false color rendering of images taken by the panoramic camera (Pancam)"
