Chris Wilson, of Wilson Research Strategies, said Thursday he recommended last year that Istook hire Chip Englander, a Californian, as campaign manager.
Wilson, whose company serves as consultant to Istooks campaign, said the campaign manager usually hires his staff.
Chip is a very well-known campaign manager, one of the best going into this cycle, said Wilson, who couldnt recall Thursday which previous campaigns Englander, 25, worked on.
My comment: This kid is NO Victim!
Absolutely agree. He's getting a crash course in victimology right now. I hope that somewhere, somehow, he is required to explain what his motivations really were in stringing these episodes out and keeping it going with Foley.
But it sounds like Istook is standing behind him, at least for the moment. If I were Istook, Edmund would have greeted with a cardboard box when he showed up to work the next day, had his keys taken away and his computer account deleted, supervised by trusted staff while he cleaned out his cube and then marched out of the building. This doesn't make any sense to me at all.
