Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani refused to renew his support for Jeanine Pirro's scandal-hobbled campaign - and ducked questions on how his firm received a no-bid contract.....Giuliani dropped a fund-raiser and was asked if he was still backing her....."Oh, jeez," he laughingly responded. "We're not here to talk about that today," he continued - refusing to say anything further.
Giuliani's dodge came just hours after The Post disclosed that in 2004, Pirro steered a no-bid contact to Bernard Kerik and Giuliani's security firm.....rebuffing protests from one of her aides and from A & P, which was forced to pay for it.
Asked if a contract had been steered to his firm, Giuliani said, "My office is answering those questions. Call my office." Pirro insisted there was "absolutely" no impropriety in her having required A & P to hire the Kerik-Giuliani firm .....saying the arrangement had been approved as part of a court settlement with A & P, but a source told The Post that was not the case. "The hiring of the firm was not part of the court record".....
Pirro described Kerik and Giuliani as friends....is being investigated by federal authorities for plotting with Kerik to place a bug in her husband's boat, because she feared he was cheating.

FYI FReepers---here's a little background on Kerik/Rudy's "security efforts."
After 9/11, in January 2002, Guiliani, was hard at work starting up his company---Giuliani Partners---focusing primarily on security. He brought a number of his aides from the Mayor's office with him including disgraced policeman Bernie Kerik (Mayor Rudy's former driver) who headed the security sector.
Then in January 2003, Giuliani was in Mexico City, where Mexican business leaders put up a reported $4.2 million for Rudy's "security" advice on policing and cutting crime. Rudy's Mexican effort later received decidedly mixed reviews. Goodbye security consulting. Rudy then switched his company focus to "investment banking."
The $4.2 million pesos Rudy got did nothing for US security, either. Ever since Rudy went to Mexico, illegals have been streaming across the border in even greater numbers. Golly, you can't expect Rudy to worry about US security at those prices, can you? (/sarc)
Thanks for nothing, Rudy.
Can anything good come from New York? If you are a real conservative there it appears you would have never been elected.
As Samuel Johnson wrote: "To think reasonably is to think morally. When people lose any interest in doing the latter, they lose all interest in doing the former as well." -- Samuel Johnson
Thanks for nothing, Rudy.
Boo!
Cute-----you're in rare form, today.
You are scared to death of him, funny really.
Hey there!
Have you been on the Rush thread? I am enjoying him all alone it seems?
Rush? At 9:00 AM? Do tell. Or better yet PING!
No not now! I have not seen you on the noon thread lately. I enjoy the cat fights! :0)
How do you know this is a "great Rudy bashing thread"?
OH LOL, curse of thrid shift, sleeping through Rush. I listen to him in the morning, off the 24/7 thing.
The GOP is on the ropes because of the Foley thing, and all the Rudy-haters can do is spew venom and attack another Republican, one who is considered the front-runner for the WH. And brag aboutit by adding to the title. Some people just can't play the rules.
Maybe Kos and DU will pick up this thread and join the GOP hate-fest certain FReepers feel compelled to drag onto this site.
Loyalty is something certain people just know northing about....
"You are scared to death of him, funny really".
Sleeping With...through Rush! LOL
He is giving away those dam beds left and right!
Disgusted? Or afraid you are wrong?
Good Post!
Because that was the point of posting it. As if things aren't rough enough at the moment for the GOP.
The fact that Nancy Pelosi may be the next Speaker of the House, the fact that a win for the Democrats is a win for the Islamofascists, the fact that we'll get our taxes raised, all of that is meaningless to this crew.
But I'll go even further. Some of these characters are really anti-Bush, and on the Pat Buchanan tip of the spectrum. They have posted that "a vote for Rudy is a vote for perpetual war." Sound familiar? It's Pat Buchanan's battle cry....
They are paleo-cons, and I believe they want the GOP to lose the House and the WH.
"Rudy is a typical left wing RINO.
He has no morals."
You are assuming that no one on the right takes money? Everyone can be bought regardless of party or ideology. Just a question on how much does it take. It's politics and money drives politics.
