Michael Medved was discussing this article on Thursday's 2nd hour of his show. The author would not come on his show so he had on a radio producer from his home station's sister station. Tina, I believe, something or other. She said to the affect that a woman should be able to walk down the street naked with a sign on her that said come rape me and men should take no notice.

Personally, I know men can be aggressive. I've experienced it--more when I was younger and thinner, but even on a bus when I was VERY pregnant with my first son and once when I was in a cafeteria when I was not so thin. That being said, I think women in general are partially responsible for the in your face aggression we are seeing from men. I think the Florida Spring Break, MTV, Girls Gone Wild, porn culture we live in is bringing more of this bad side out.

Anyway, the woman on Medved today really didn't think women had any responsibility in this at all.

I have read the articles that were posted here previously about that NY Harassment site and also listen to chunks of Mr. Medved's show today. All I can say is that I am even more confused on what these particular women are complaining about. I am not saying that it doesn't happen, but I rarely see it among my fellow men. Is it a Northern thing? This Tina and the New York site talk nothing, but what goes on around where they live. Plus I have seen plenty of women who leer at men as well, even seen them stare(for whatever reason)at the same beautiful women that men will glance at or check out. I can understand being offended by a guy that approaches and acts like a butt head, but how often does that really happen. Even then I have seen plenty of women who will be offended by one joe smoe checking her out and then all wobbly knee and gushing when Mr. Stud muffin checks her out.

Its very confusing and very mixed signaling. How is a guy to know how to act towards a woman in such an environment. This is one of several reasons why I have held off dating the past few years until I had solidified my religious beliefs. My hope is by doing so I can "fish in a pond" that is filled with women who are of similar mind and outlook. I hope it doesn't turn out to be wishful thinking on my part.

If she doesn't want to be leered, or her daughters, another bag of Kettle Korn (a candy I presume) is an excellent solution. Darwin at work.

With some women's "fashions" these days, I'm not really staring thinking, "she's hot;" I'm thinking, "wow, hookers sure are getting brazen," or, "women/girls with a paunch should not wear low-rise pants," or "I wonder when she's going to regret that tramp stamp?"

I heard that, the woman was reasonably intelligent and well spoken, but she refused to the point of absurdity to accept the reality of the male make up.

While boorish behavior and comments are completely ignorant, to claim a woman can walk down the street with every one of her secondary sexual characteristics popping out and dressed expressly to draw attention to them, she can't claim on the other hand that guys should not be looking. That's feminist gobbledygook. Guys are wired different from women, and like it or not, visual cues are processed completely differently by mens minds than womens.

To claim a woman should be able to to this, and its on the man to not notice? That's Feminist nonsense. You are ignoring the fundamental realities of life if you think that way.

If you intentionally flaunt your sexuality visually, don't be shocked and offended when you get a sexual reaction to it.

Now as to the Holla Back stuff.... I wonder how many ex bf's who've done nothing more than break up with someone are now being slandered on there by spiteful vengeful exs? Was bad enough when they would just spread rumors among their friends.. now gals can post your picture and lie to folks they don't even know about you too.

I am no fan of oogling, and I honestly don't understand some of the behavior I see out of guys.... I've got as much testosterone as anyone.. but I would never behave the way I see many do.

Still you dress immodestly, you can't claim to be offended when you attract the attention of someone you weren't hoping to.

Now as to teenage girls... Where are there MOTHERS??????? I find it revolting when I see a 50 year old guy leering at some 15 year old.... and yes it happens all the time. I've seen them change seats in restraunts just to get better views... Now at the same time the girl is wearing a skirt that maybe covers her butt cheeks MAYBE and a shirt that makes a 70s tube top look modest. WHERE THE HELL ARE THE MOMS IN THIS????

Tell your daughters, YOU DON'T WEAR CLOATHING THAT HAS THINGS WRITTEN ACROSS YOUR BUM!... Its not cute, and guys are going to look at it anyway... I saw one Mother and Daughter clothes shopping together and the mom was actually encouraging the girl to wear things that were completely inappropriate... because the Mom thought they were "cute". Stop trying to be their friends, and be their MOM!
