Mark Foley Emails Altered?
Now the Mark Foley story is getting weird. (Yes, I know it’s already weird, but this is weirder.) There doesn’t seem to be any doubt that Foley’s guilty of making advances to teenage boys—after all, he resigned—but there’s something very odd about the email messages being circulated by media and left wing blogs: Foleygate: Mark Foley emails altered.

How are they anything different from Rush Limbaugh on hundreds of stations across the US. Or Hugh Hewlitt, openly stumping for Republicans.
ABC just doesn't declare its allegiance. They keep trying to claim being nonpartisan. If they were honest, then folks would know what was in the package and interpret appropriately.
Still, news programming isn't regulated. So a newscast is no different than the Laura Ingram show to the FCC. All of these outlets are specifically exempt from the campaign finance regulations.

I agree. News programming is not regulated.
ABC is licensed to broadcast according to FCC regulations.
There is the campaign finance act as well.
There is the RICO act as well.
ABC cannot overtly campaign for a party and keep its license. Holding onto incriminating/criminal information for political purposes may be a violation of RICO.
There are lots of laws passed when the dems were in power.
Time for the reps to open the books, read the laws and enforce the ones that apply.

It would be nice if the GOP managed to get in front of an issue and control the narrative. I can't think of 6 recent issues they have managed to do that with.
After a year of Dubya not caring if he had popular support or not, prayers certainly can't hurt.

That is what Paula Zahn claimed the FBI told CNN. I know it sounds unbelievable that CNN would say that but it had already been reported online since Monday that the emails had been altered.

On the contrary, this story is getting more terrifying by the moment.
Lives can be destroyed so easily. Seems it's nearly impossible to defend against this type of thing if you're not extremely wealthy.
