"It's hard to know how many Iraqis, dozens, hundreds, thousands, will die because of the sentence," he said.

Try one. Sadaam.

Why don't we hang them both? Save the world a lot of grief.

Even if he's right, so be it. Should we stop punishing criminals in consideration of how "activist" might react? Kill his ass and do it quickly. Street marches in opposition make for prime bombing targets.

"It seems clear that a guilty verdict will set off catastrophic violence" and that a death sentence would be even worse, Clark told a Washington press conference.

Given the current amount of violence, I'm willing to risk a Saddam public execution. The more violent, the better.

People died in Iraq everyday because Saddam is STILL ALIVE.

There is an element of the insurgency that fully believes he will one day be the president again and they are helping to perpetuate the chaos until that time.

An execution is just what Iraq needs now.

Probably true. Also true if they don't hang him. Amongst those not educated beyond their capacity this is known as a 'wash'.

Now, there's a good reason to acquit him!

NOT.

Saddam should be dead now. Part of the problem in Iraq is the dithering over the rights of assholes. He should be dead and Fallujah should have been flattened the first time.

We won't really know until we kill him, so let's take the chance. Hey, maybe Sadam Insane will write a children's book and the libs will then adore him and ask for clemency.

I say kill him.

I'm pretty sure the opposite is true. Many Iraqis are justifiably wary of the Americans thanks to the President's father. If he had not encouraged an uprising, and then left the rebels to die at Saddam's hand, we might have more cooperation today.

Yeah, we should just apologize to Saddam and give his palaces and country back to him.

I dunno - mebbe Ramsey's right, mebbe he's wrong. There's only one way to find out. Hang the sumbitch. We can always apologize later.

Is this the same Ramsey Clark that worked for the UFO book writer who was "in trouble" with the government for writing a book about the UFO event(?) at Bentwater, UK?
