BJ's Wholesale Club, a competitor of Sam's Club with locations in 16 states, has apparently decided to spend the profits earned off their members promoting extremist, anti-American activists.
I realize that some may view the article as minor, but people like her need to be fought everywhere, everytime, everyway.
Memberships can be cancelled via the 'Contact Us' section of their homepage (http://www.bjs.com) or by calling 1-800-BJS-CLUB.
Yes, I have cancelled mine.

I have never understood why, in this age of discounters and constant sales, people will pay a hefty membership fee for the right to shop at BJ's. I wouldn't even consider it.

I read the short interview with Sarandon. There's nothing political in it. Granted, she's a wacko lib -- but this particular article is plain vanilla. And I don't imagine she was paid for answering a couple of short questions for BJ's magazine. Relax.

God dang it I just got this membership because Costco is so liberal. Now I gotta cancel this too. Sam's club is too far away.

Whats that on her shirt? "What would Jesus bomb"?
This coming from an adulteress with illegitimate kids?
So, who would Jesus sleep with?

I've never understood why businesses and businesspeople don't leave their politics at home. Any position that they take, either way, is going to tick off a bunch of potential customers.

Uncledave, I realize that there's nothing overtly political in this interview. And you're right, she probably didn't get paid much.
But what an article like this does is help provide her with credibility. It makes her seem to be a reasonable, rationale adult.
She will absolutely leverage that credibility in a few weeks when she's campaigning for other left-wing, anti-American nutjobs. Interviews like this give people like that ammunition that they will use later. That's why it's important.

Believe me, I'm no fan of Sarandon's political views, but all she's doing here is appearing in a BJ's newsletter in a non-political way. I've got no problem with that, just as I would have no problem with any other lefty appearing in a commercial, film, magazine article, or whatnot. I would have no problem if Sarandon were interviewed in Good Housekeeping or any other magazine, so who cares about the BJ's newsletter.
(I WOULD get upset if their political views were being foisted on me as a customer -- such as a singer ranting about Bush when I paid to hear her simply sing.)
So relax, there's much bigger fish to fry. And I'll bet she didn't make a dime on doing this.

Looks good devolve, he could use a 'brighter' face but maybe that's because hers is so light.

I didn't make the BGTP! His face looked OK alone, I could have brightened it ahead of time.
