From The CBS Mailbag
Drooling Over Foley
By Dan McLaughlin Posted in Liberals
The first funny thing about seeing the mask drop and the real politics of people high and low in the Mainstream Media revealed is how regularly these sorts of things show not just liberalism, but nasty, gloating, scornful leftism of the most unappealing sort - the very antithesis of the kind of attitude one would want from even a fair-minded journal of liberal opinion, let alone a news source that at least pretends to be objective.
The second funny thing is we get revelations of this nature because people employed by news organizations are apparently unaware that things they say or do could be...well, newsworthy. And they're not always real bright about covering their tracks.
With that in mind, let us savor this email received recently by the Republican National Committee from an email address at CBS News:
From: Cammisa, Vincent [mailto: VAC@cbsnews.com]
Sent: Wednesday, October 04, 2006 5:34 PM
To: Internships
Subject: Perverted Internship Program
Please send me information on how I can become an intern for some perverted, phony family-values Congressman. I know there's no shortage of Republican hypocrites on the Hill, so please rush me the info ASAP. And don't forget to keep covering-up your dirty little secrets, it makes great fodder for your enemies.
Sincerely,
Vinny Cammisa
Our enemies, indeed. At least they identify themselves by name, employer and email address.
Oh, and one more question: Would Edward R. Murrow have sent that email?
Some great work last night identifying the OK governor's campaign worker. Hope there's more to come on that one.
How about sending this thread to the head of CBS news. Vinnie should be looking for another job after this email using the CBS system. Let's see how well they pursue their own email "problems".
The unmarried Foley who dodged questions about his personal life, who was known in the area for being gay, was about "family values" only to the morons who believe what's on CBS News.
So, are we to really believe that:
1 - WHEN A REPUBLICAN ACTS LIKE A D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T
2 - the disappointed Republicans will then go to the the voting box and vote DEMOCRAT?
Doesn't make sense to me.
How about sending this thread to the head of CBS news?
Sent and done.
Darth:
I also sent my missive to CBS. I sent the link plus a comment on the poor reflection on the Tiffany Network as an arm of the DNC.
Also sent to Matt Drudge.
Also sent to Rush Limbaugh. Hope this one gets legs.
If this is real, this guy is going to get canned.
I was almost afraid to click on this thread. From the title, I thought it was an artice from a Geriatric Gay Magazine.
Exactly! This whole deal is going to blow up in the MSM faces. The former page was no naive 16-year old -- I thought he was much older then 21 and so did others.
Maybe people should not be so arrogant and so much of a jerk to other people because you don't forget them especially when you are buying soft drinks for an event and he wants an alocholic beverage not to mention he was there for Istook to record what our other candidate had to say and made no bones he was there for that reason. I am still frosted about it along with others. You tend to remember people arrogant jerks.
