I think we should build a fence between Mr Cornyn and another term in the Senate.

Get the money from Bailey County where property taxes went up 14% this year. For those who have never heard of Bailey County, we have more cows in the County than dollars and less jobs than fingers on a grey haired cotton ginner. Oddly the County seems to take more interest in giving jobs and businesses to nearby eastern New Mexico than trying to retain them. It's an odd place where taxes are increased even though living standards have declined. Even more odd is that political conservatism is extremely strong in the County. I guess the smell of tax revenue outweighs even the strongest of conservative minds.

There will be hell to pay if the fence is not built.

If they can spend $30 billion a year on education and "the arts," then surely they have enough money for a fence.
To: axes_of_weezles
Yea, lets spend a billion on a bridge to nowhere, but cannot find the money to implement the people's will. Creeps!

Amazing that for the first time in 6 years, a Federal project won't happen due to lack of funding.
I wonder what message they would get if everyone voted against all the incumbents?

Cornyn defended the Senate vote for the fencing, saying it was a symbolic gesture to show that Congress is serious about protecting the border. What a cynical (and stupid) thing to say! Frist needs to disavow all knowledge of this guy, pronto! I wasn't aware that we had a problem with "virtual illegals" that a "virtual fence" will solve.
To: axes_of_weezles
OK, so build a pair of chain-link fences, with a minefield in between. Fairly cheap

Cornyn defended the Senate vote for the fencing, saying it was a symbolic gesture to show that Congress is serious about protecting the border..."I'm not sure that's the most practical use of that money." Weasily, slimy, political whores and bastards. Mean what you say, do what you say...or do not say it. The very idea of saying that they passed a symbolic gestuure to show that they are serious is an afront and a slap in the face to any American the represent.
Sorry, but people like this, from either side of the aisle, make me want to vomit.

Now...I might add, that if this is not an accurate quote, if this is a MSM hack job on his words, I will recant what I just said about Cornyn.
