RedState reports that these news organizations knew about the Foley emails in 2005:
We have ascertained that the list of media organizations that knew of this information as early as November of 2005 include:
Washington Post
Roll Call
ABC News
St. Petersburg Times
Palm Beach Post
It's starting to look like the only ones who didn't know about the extent of the scandal were Republicans. Is this just democrat desperation?

How did ABC get all of that followup information before the story broke? How long were they holding on to this information? How many democrats knew about this but, rather than protecting the Congressional pages from a suspected predator by reporting the information, sat on it until election time? What was the collaboration between the democrats and the media, this time?

We also know that there are different Congressional pages involved here. One is the page who worked in Representative Alexander's office
(http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/09/sixteenyearold_.html). Another page exchanged instant messages in 2003 with Foley and these messages are just now being reported (http://abcnews.go.com/images/WNT/02-02-03b.pdf).

Democrat-hypocrisy-on-right-to-privacy PING!!!
You got that right!
2. I don't know. Maybe after his ex-wife (Andrea Thompson from B5 and NYPD Blue) gave up acting to be a news anchor?

Did passionateamerica.blogspot crash? I can't access it although i've been following their story for a few days and had no difficulty?
No, but husband was telling me about--I think he was reading it on Malkin or some such.
I saw this with Rather-gate.
It didn't hit until Wednesday or Thursday when the story broke Sunday night. They are biding their time for a defense so they can present the new information and readily follow up with a defense to counter. They have less than 12 hours to find it before it blows up on them.
He's "Old School" - probably lives a nice quiet life in the Beltway, and That Internet Thing is something he fools around with that his staff uses.
Still, he's honest, to a point, even while he fabricates (e.g. Bill Casey).
We're dealing with animals. Woodward is just an old, slow one we managed to have shot by his handlers.
I feel really sorry for this kid's cat.
"John Boener (sp?) was on the radio just yesterday all but conceding this seat."
This infuriated me. As the majority leader, he's supposed to LEAD his party to victory. Mark Levin excoriated Boehner tonight and called upon him to "grow a pair...and grow up". Amen.
I just tried sending an e-mail to Boehner, but it was refused because I don't live in his district. I can't express how frustrated I get when sending e-mails to members of Congress only to have them refused. I do understand that representatives and senators have an obligation to their constituents first. However, the laws that are passed by the members of Congress affect my life and I believe I should have the opportunity to voice my opinion to each and every member.
There. I said it and I'm glad!
Update 8:55PM: ABC Trying to Hide Foley Mistake? Changes Text of 'Blotter' Entry This post pointed out that ABC had mislead the public by misstating the age of one of the former pages who was instant messaged by Mark Foley as under 18. ABC News has changed the copy on their story about the Foley IMs:
ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys who began their exchanges with Foley at the age of 16 and 17, and continued through the age of 18.
But the original wording is still in the Google cache:
ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys under the age of 18.
The "Blotter" entry does not acknowledge the correction.
Which makes ABC ( I don't believe there was any "glitch" ) more reprehensible and culpable, in this matter, than ever!
"Hmmmmmmm. When did Bill Burkett start at ABC?"NOW...that's FUNNY :)
No.
