Sure she does...and with some level of potential that she's right. I don't think that she is though. The story is unravelling with respect to what the Dims knew and when they knew it, plus the sheer hypocrisy of their behavior given their support for Dims who have done far worse than Foley OR Hastert etc. I'm sure some new revelation will emerge in an attempt to regain traction on the whole republicans are pervs issue....and those too will fail. Republicans will keep the House and Senate....and the Dims will STILL claim victory in some way, manner, or form.

Totally agree.
Before last week, Hastert only knew that Foley had written some e-mails to a former page, and the page got annoyed. The e-mails were not of a sexual nature, but the young man and his parents wanted Foley to quit writing, so they asked Hastert's office to intervene, Hastert told Foley to cut it out, and as far as he knew, Foley did.
Hastert didn't know about the Instant Messages which were apprarently from 2003, and which WERE explicit. When he learned of them, he talked again to Foley and Foley resigned.
Hastert is not the dorm mother for those men. He is not responsible for what they do in their private lives, but he did the right thing by asking Foley to resign, when he did find out what Foley had done, because it involved young men who had served in the Page program in the House.
The only info for the owner of the blog is his or her user id. Google hids everything else. Looking up his user id didn't show anything. If you read his blog, he does say his was lurking here on the Freep one day.
