Agree 100%. I think while he has been moderately effective behind the scenes, unfortunately the job of speaker is to be up front, to take on the creeps on TV. Hastert has been worse than MIA on that. Newt put his foot in his mouth from time to time, but at least he was on TV when he did so.
Well the GOP should find a Rep with strong speaking skills to go out and handle the media.
