Today, Fordham said he reached out to Foley as a longtime friend. Reynolds -- running for re-election in the 26th Congressional District -- is a member of the House G-O-P leadership who has struggled to avoid political damage in the scandal's fallout.
Fordham says he resigned today to prevent his own ties to Foley from being used by Democrats in the race for Reynolds' seat in Congress.

If we're getting to this point, where people are resigning merely because of 'gay taint', then it's about to rebound (read: encompass) on the DUms. Once Bawney or another gay DUm is tied into all this (as Rush hinted today), the MSM will shut the whole thing down and move on to something else.
Fordham's gay too.
He served *under* Mark Foley? (rim shot)
Cheers!
That's a *classic* of poor phrasing.
Next thing you know, they'll be talking about "getting to the bottom of this."
Cheers!
