Rush Predicts 30 to 40 seat Pick-Up!?
Posted on 10/04/2006 11:02:11 AM PDT by albie
Rush just predicted 30-40 seats picked-up in the house. He's received so many e-mails that have said "stop the rah-rah crap and be honest about the election, we're gonna lose". This based on the psychology of the libs being convinced that we steal elections. They won't show because we'll steal it anyway, why bother! (sarcasm on his part)

He was just saying that if you believe the democrats, we have the power to steal elections, and if so we should be able to take 40 seats.
He was being sarcastic.

Limbaugh has become a total hack for Bush and the RNC. I can't even listen to him anymore.

For Democrats maybe.... Why? Are you going to vote for traitors now, because Mark Foley is a pervert? Are your buddies?
I make one prediction that is bad for the GOP: Mark Foley's district is now in play. That's the extent of it. Now quit whining.

Rush is being optimistic. If we pick up 4 in the House, it will be a good year.

Rush was being sarcastic and making fun of how the Democrats always claim elections are stolen.

Just read polling yesterday that the candidate replacing Foley is nicely ahead of the dem challenger.

Indeed. Now is not the time to wallow in doubt. Sometimes, predictions can be self-fulfilling if you start believing in them.

Rush is good at what he does. A prop for the GOP. Nothing wrong with it. Just the way it is. Sounds a little desperate lately.

No - his prediction was for the Republicans to pick up seats. He first said 50 seats, then moderated it to 30 or 40.
It was a classic Rushism, saying something outrageous to make a point.
His point was that the 'Rats keep saying we 'Publicans can and have been stealing elections.
... so I guess if we 'Publicans don't steal 50 seats, which should be easy given what the 'Rats claim, maybe that means we aren't such thieves as the 'Rats make us out to be.

But thats his job. Get the talking points out. I don't hold that against him. Thats his job. I just turn the dial when I disagree.
