Hillary Endorses Webb (and I just tore his sticker off the back of my bumper)
AP | 10.4.06

Posted on 10/04/2006 8:31:24 AM PDT by meandog

Senator Hillary Clinton campaigned for Democrat Jim Webb today in Virginia's U.S. Senate race. At a fund-raising appearance today in Alexandria, the New York senator praised Webb -- a former Republican -- calling him an independent voice to stand against President Bush's Iraq policies and the Republican Congress.

The former first lady and 2008 Democrat presidential contender brushed aside a magazine article Webb wrote in 1979 that said women can't lead men in battle and decrying their admission to military academies.

Clinton said the article was written 30 years ago. She said Webb opened up "thousands of positions" to women in his years in military administration.

Republican incumbent George Allen has been airing television ads in which female U.S. Naval Academy graduates accused Webb of creating hostility toward them with his article when they were midshipmen in the early 1980s.

Webb began running his own ad yesterday featuring two military women who say Webb opened up more positions to them when he was Secretary of Navy in the late 1980s.

Dear meandog,

Not sure what you consider to be the problem.

Hillary Clinton, Democrat, endorses Jim Webb, Democrat. What were you expecting?

Why would you be supporting Jim Webb, anyway?

What is wrong with Mr. Allen that would not be more wrong with Mr. Webb?

Thanks,

sitetest

The same thought came to my mind. I thought Democrats stick together cohesively. Democrats may take their comrades to the woodshed (so to speak) but they do not eat their own in public like the Conservatives do.

Write-in time come Nov. 7!

This is a conservattive Web site. That is a pretty incongrous post. Feel free to explain why you're not supporting George Allen -- and be prepared to have reality dumped in your lap from numerous sources.

Cretins like Cunningham and Foley deserved to be devoured disowned. They disgraced themselves and their party.

However, has these two cretins been dhimmicrats, they would be hailed as hero's of the free world.

You know what they say..."if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck"

I'm only telling it as it appears.

You were endorsing the democrat?

He is a highly-decorated veteran, who was Reagan's SECNAV and assistant Secretary of the Navy and he appealed to my libertarian leanings...

...But the anathema of the Clinton's (like a great stink you can never quite wash off) did him in as far as I'm concerned. I would expect his current neck-and-neck poll numbers with Allen to now take a great turn south!

"Don't know that he's a troll, but he's a libertarian, which is half way there."

That does not make sense because meandog is FreeRepublic's greatest defender of John McCain (RINO - Media), who as we all know, is one of the biggest recking balls to our liberties.

Maybe he is not being consistent? Nah...can't be.
