Hatch Is Driven By Raw Ambition In Run For Governor (MN)
StarTribune ^ | 10/1/06 | Katherine Kersten

"Mike Hatch has spent his adult life running for governor and it seems the major reason he keeps getting rejected is he hasn't learned voters want to know what he plans to do, not how much mud he can fling." Who said that? DFLer R.T. Rybak, back in 1994, while working for a Hatch opponent during the primary campaign in Hatch's second run for governor.

Rybak was hardly alone in his views back then. Over the years, Hatch's consuming ambition has prompted many -- both DFLers and Republicans -- to label him an opportunist: a guy who will do whatever it takes to achieve his goal. DFL fundraiser Vance Opperman once put it this way: Hatch has "almost a monomaniacal focus" on the governor's chair.

These early concerns, along with more recent events, raise a question: Does Hatch have the kind of judgment and temperament that we want in a governor?

Hatch has a chance to unseat Pawlenty. Very scary.

I used to live in MN, it seemed that they always elected odd govenors. Is that true to this day?

Tim's a good guy, needs a refresher on conservatism, but he's certainly preferable to Hatch.

Then there was Jesse........

I will be voting just to cast a vote for Pawlenty. There are other reasons, but keeping Hatch out of the Governor's office is a very critical one.

Also if anyone can give me any insight over what judges are good, it would be appreciated. I live in St. Paul.

I'm not voting FOR Pawlenty as much as I'm voting AGAINST Hatch.

Pawlenty has disappointed me on tax issues, especially his signing of that fu**ing Twins stadium bill.

If you're in St Paul, don't vote for Jay Benanav for district judge. Benanav is far-left material.

Then there was Jesse........

I once worked with a guy who voted for him because he liked his campaign platform. Platform? He had a platform?

I'm not voting FOR Pawlenty as much as I'm voting AGAINST Hatch.

That pretty much sums up my attitude.

I know people that voted for Jesse just because they thought that "change would be good".

I still laugh in their faces to this day.

To this day I believe it was a PR stunt to bump up his rating. I still recall the look on his face when he realized that he won...OMG what do I do now!
The thing is he had an opportunity to make a real viable 3rd party. But in Jesses world it's all about Jesse all the time.

He continues to act and look like a clown, and we are better off having him in Mexico.

Works for me!
