We need to get to the bottom of this..

Well, this is all true, no doubt. But an easy way to avoid being set up as a predatory homosexual pedophile is not to be one in the first place.
Ping...
So, let's go along with the gag and get the DEMS (and staffers) TO SAY UNDER OATH if/when they first learned of any of this.
The unsavory odor of a Dem (and I hate to use the word, I really do) conspiracy wafts about this issue.
While we're putting Congress peeps under oath, we should also keep in mind some members and staffers within the Senate, and possibly even Hillary Rodham's fondness for maintaining damning files on people who happen to disagree with her.
.
Let me provide you with a very good rule of thumb.
Never defend pedophiles.
Never defend those who cover for pedophiles.
They'll just lie.
It is pretty obvious that this was a set up. The radical gay group tried outing Foley ten years ago, then renewed their efforts, each election, with little effect on voters. The Republican voters were just not as homophobic as the left claimed. So, then they got wind of the report of the complaint by the young page and his family and passed that on, still no sign of outrage, not until the info is posted on some obscure web site and miraculously someone else appears with claims of instant messages from the same Congressman, which he for some strange reason saved (either to his hard drive or printed).
Sounds like another example of fake but accurate reporting from the Dan Rather School of journalism. These guys learn well, if at first you don't succeed, try, try again, and if that doesn't work make up the evidence, but this time make sure it can't be traced.
I would agree, except for the fact that there is too much collective wisdom on Free Republic for it to be cast aside. If ever the 'thinking' of the freepers was needed, it is now,...not unlike when the MSM confabulated a story over Bushs' Texas National Guard service. I think many in congress read FR and learn much.
First of all, that is not accurate. They could not get a source to go on the record. 2nd, what is your point? Two newspapers didn't report on it, therefore it didn't happen? Or, therefore, we shouldn't care because two newspapers didn't care? I am not sure what your point is.
I didn't even know Foley existed before this news came out. I didn't think a Republican could get elected in West Palm Beach, so whats the deal with this guy? Was he a moderate, sometimes supporting gay agenda stuff, or was he pretending to be a religious conservative against homosexuals? That seems to be the crux of the matter. Its all about the hypocrisy.
Someone knows the whole story here.
They're going to be found out.
Let them come forward, and let's have all of the truth.
Then we'll decide.
I'm not sure what you mean. Are you suggesting that, contrary to the IM logs, that he did not explicitly chat with a page about how he maturbates? Are you suggesting that he did not ask that page to go home with him after dinner and drinks?
Sure, the democrats mastered the timing of this to thier advantage, but it still happened, and the GOP has nobody to blame but itself.
Unless you doubt the accuracy of the IM logs, I am not sure what there is to wait on. I suppose, we could be waiting on figuring out what the GOP leadership knew, and when, but all that will do is drag the story out all the way until election day.
