Not only is the Democratic gubernatorial candidate trailing Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger by double digits, but one of his key campaign strategies -- trying to link Schwarzenegger to President George W. Bush -- isn't working.
Schwarzenegger leads Angelides, 46 percent to 33 percent, according to a poll released Monday by the Survey and Policy Research Institute at San Jose State University. Perhaps more worrisome to Angelides, most Californians say their low regard for President Bush will have no bearing on their vote for governor.

The only thing that's tight is Angelides' jaw.
Hugh Hewitt replayed the interview that Angelefty had with Neil Cavuto, in which every other word out of Phil's mouth was "wrong war" or about Schwarzenegger and Bush. When the interview ended, Hewitt said, "That's why Mr. Peepers is going down big time in a month."
Proof Arnold is moving too far left. He even leads in Los Angeles and the Bay Area:
