There was an article on Drudge this afternoon.....stating that the Page who made the comment about being warned about Foley has taken back his comment. Other pages are disputing his story and the page himself is saying that they were NOT warned about Foley.

We have allowed the media to report lie after lie after lie,and many of us have reacted to those lies.

He says he didn't KNOW about the IM's. I take him at his word. He's earned that.

If this is ligit, this is REALLY bad, because it'll mean A. They know something we don't (i.e. Hastert actually DID know about the explicit IM's and did nothing) B. That the info is bad enough to make a moderate to conservative paper turn.

Got a give the rat's credit, they are firing with all barrels. You know they probably have several more bombs they are going to be dropping in the coming weeks. Man, if the Republicans lose congress, the rat's are going to rip this country apart for the next 2 years. I don't know if the American people are aware of what will be coming should they win control of congress. I also don't know if knowing that would change anybody's vote.

President Bush always seems to pull out victories when he needs them, so I'll trust that his people are on top of this. If not, the next 2 years could be gut wrenching. The rat's have so much anger and hatred that they can hardly contain it at this point. That is what will make it all the more sweet if we can hold the house and senate. Just watching them lament. It's so much fun. This Foley kind of crap definitely hurts the cause.

In fact, the scenario likely went something like this::::

Hastert was told last week that Foley made some "improper" remarks to a former page via email, and subsequently began to check out the situation.

Foley, thinking the IM's were deleted, assured Mr. Hastert that the emails were nothing to worry about and contained nothing embarassing, etc.

Hastert, not having any other evidence, opted to wait and see. What else could he do?

On Thursday, the ship hit the ham, and Foley was outed as a freakin' pervert homo.

Lastly, didn't Hastert go on record today (Monday, 10/2 saying he was not informed, repeat, not in the loop until last week about the extent of Foley's perversion.
