I was thinking the same thing.
I see you thought the same as I - that perhaps she did call them... who knows really. And you're right, I hope they are honest about what exactly went on.
And I fell right into it! Ah well. I've been out of the FR loop for a long time. :)
Excellent post. Thank you.
I lived in Reading for a while and Lancaster is not that far from there.
I've been all over this country and that's some of the most beautiful I've seen.
Sadly when I lived around there buggies were common and once in a while one would get hit by a car - horse and driver didn't have much of a chance against a car.
Or maybe he's just dreamed of killing little Amish girls for years, and couldn't control himself anymore. All we know about him is what he did. Why give such a person the least benefit of the doubt?
Well stated.
There is nothing left for me to say.
My granddaughter is also a cheerleader. She's sweet as can be and loves everyone but I have stressed to her about being nice to EVERYONE because there are people out there who hate cheerleaders. Hollywood screenwriters for one. Have you ever seen a cheerleader portrayed as anything more than an empty headed, cruel beeyotch? Losers hate people who excel and make them look bad.
Lancaster county is truely GOD's Country - so beautiful and peaceful - those poor children and that teacher had no idea what evil would come to their door today.
I'm wonder if the killer left any clues besides the suicide notes about what he planned.
I heard that too. Makes me wonder how anyone who asks a question like that gets and keeps their job.
I cannot fathom that someone would think about things like that. It doesn't make sense. My TV's been tied up today (school is out today), this is very disturbing and it is hard to accept the details as I learn them.
I think he had the easy way of by killing himself.
Buggies are still common. Fortunately, most drivers are on the lookout for them.
Prayers for all concerned.

The Amish will do what they believe to be right and in keeping with their religion. I would guess that this kind of violence is exceedingly rare in their community, and as far as we know, unrelated to their religion.
They're not going to stop being who they are, and they're not going to throw their faith in God out the window. Nor should they.
Any further updates on the medical condition of the surviving children?
It happened last week.
Today is only Monday.
It's happened again.
Let's pray for the kids
who will be involved next time.
Let's pray God gives them
the strength to somehow
fight or out-wit the scumbag
who takes them hostage.
The latest report I've seen is that four were taken to the hospital, all female, all in critical condition. Two of them sustained gunshot wounds to the head, one of those two has since passed away. The three remaining young ladies are still in critical condition.
