September 29, 2006 The following is an instant message exchange a former page says he had with Rep. Foley in 2003. Warning: sexually explicit language, reader discretion is advised:
Go to article link and read the messages, there's nine pages worth.
C.R.E.W. probibly only supplied photocopies of the chatlogs to ABC.
How did C.R.E.W. get the Chatlogs to begin with?
OMG!
Oh, right, I forgot, Foley was set-up by the all and powerful Oz. /sarc off.
But, if the Repubs knew of this guy's predilictions for young boys 10 months ago and did nothing about him, then all who knew should also resign. They should have required a resignation from him from the get-go.
What if AOL supplied them to C.R.E.W. to begin with?
Or someone from C.R.E.W. works for AOL?
The only way would be if they pulled this text off of Foley's PC OR if they were able to trace the archived text back to an IP Foley could be tied to
they have an option in the program to save the messages.
What is even more disgusting is that this guy who has the maturity of a 13 yr old was helping pass laws for our whole country.
I would agree...IF the archive is genuine........and given previous bogus garbage that we've seen from the MSM...I'm very skeptical.
he revolts me and makes my skin crawl after reading those IMs. and i can't imagine ANYONE is justifying or defending him. it is just noteworthy that we are revolted by our scum and flush them immediately whereas the dems embrace their scum and re-elect or otherwise reward them [barney franks, gerry studds, mel reynolds]
That's right. Because Republicans preach family values, morality, no same-sex marriages, etc. and Democrats do not. I'd like to think that Republican standards for office are higher then Democrats. Whatever happened to "character counts"? I've read about half a dozen posts that have started with "If this were Barney Frank..." Is Barney Frank new standard of morality? I sure as hell hope not.
Why was this kid playing along with Foley?
Is this the normal kind of conversation our congresscritters have with interns now?
"Why was this kid playing along with Foley?"
Good question. One possibility is that the kid is gay and likes old men.
More plausable to me is that the kid was just role playing, stringing him along to see how far Foley would go with it. As I mentioned earlier, I bet this kid told his friends about it and they all egged him on, It was the cruel joke of the year to play on someone.
I know kids that have several personalities on MySpace and use them just as someone with mulitple screen names on a message board would.
Both these people are disgusting cretins. The reason Franks, Kennedy and the rest of the Demogenerates are still around is their party condones their behavior. The GOP does not.
Yep....but as other Freepers have said in this thread....there IS a double standard isn't there....between the Dims and Republicans? Hell...The Swimmer, at the very least, committed involuntary manslaughter...maybe reckless homicide....and where is the POS? His family members have been accused of serious crimes and welked.....no....comparing Kennedy to any situation is like comparing apples to mule droppings...
Thats the GOP's job. I want them out quoting democrats and ABC, NYT, etc back when 19 year old interns were receiving cigar-oscopies in the Oval Office, and DEMANDING they explain why their standards have changed. They've got to TRY to change the subject. They've no one to blame but themselves if this continues.
Yeah, it was totally cruel. I can't believe that some kid played along and responded to Foley's suggestive emails. That kid should have ended the text messages as soon as he realized that Foley was gay so that Foley wouldn't have been caught. That kid ruined Foley's career. I would expect more from a sixteen year-old than a fifty year-old member of Congress.
