Significant progress is being made in Iraq.
It's important to stay the course.

A new recruiting video by the emir of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, brags of the loss of 4,000 foreign fighters in Iraq.I'm kind of pleased that fanatics out to destroy my country are dead, too.

Democrats lack intestinal fortitude. If results don't happen NOW, they believe any endeavor a failure. Witness their jumping from program to program over the past decades to solve every problem, and their belief that not beginning new programs every year is a cause for concern.
The Dems are teaching the American people to demand results NOW NOW NOW!!!! and if they don't get them, to retreat from the problem at hand, whatever the problem. It's not a party for anyone over the age of 18 who behaves like someone over the age of 12.

It sounds like al-Qaeda has a bigger fan club down at the DNC and in Hollyweird than they have in Iraq.

Seems to me the one thing we can count on with Islamics is that they hate the other, no matter what the other is.

I think the US turned the bend in September when the Sunni tribes in Anbar province decided to unite to help the Iraqi government fight AQ. In return the Iraqi government and US can start civic projects to consolidate Iraqi control of province and free up US forces to concentrate on the last front of this war - Baghdad and surrounding suburbs to quell the sectarian fighting between Sunni and Shiite death squads.
