Perhaps they are lame-brained idiots who don't want to hurt the feelings of the jihadis working at the airport...(ignorance is not bliss!!!)

US visas only via internet

Snip: In order to speed up the processing procedure American embassies will no longer be accepting manual visa applications, only electronic forms can be used.

From Nov. 1 applicants must visit the US State Department's web site to fill out the relevant Electronic Visa Application Form (EVAF or DS-156), print it out and take all three pages, including the page with bar codes to their visa interview at the embassy.

Homeland Security contracts for vast new Detention Camps

Snip: Halliburton subsidiary has just received a $385 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security to provide "temporary detention and processing capabilities."

The contract -- announced Jan. 24 by the engineering and construction firm KBR -- calls for preparing for "an emergency influx of immigrants, or to support the rapid development of new programs" in the event of other emergencies, such as "a natural disaster." The release offered no details about where Halliburton was to build these facilities, or when.

Cyberbullying has wider reach

Canadian tourists must have Passports this Christmas

Snip: The Bush administration is telling vacationers to bring their passports with them or they might get stuck at the border after the holidays. Anyone travelling by air between Canada and the United States as of Jan. 8 will need a passport, said U.S. Ambassador David Wilkins.

OPINION: I don't like the idea of visas being applied for via the internet.
I want the person to come in person and look the clerk in the eyeballs as
he/she applies.
